I love this, firstly because I'm so glad I'm not the only person in history who thought to somehow combine orcas with Transformers. Secondly, because, even for a speed painting, his design looks almost plausible (barring the fact he is a yellow orca). Are you thinking of doing a full-body portrait?

Yeah, some people might think of it as being nerdy, but hey. You express yourself that way. My car does the same thing for people in real life. I get so much attention in that thing.
Naw, As I said, the original Bumblebee was a Yellow VW beetle. I did just mix the two. The stripes along the runner board on my car, are my design. So, more than likely, He'll look like my car.
I did like the transformers movie, but not enough to base orca characters on them. If I do make more orca characters, they will be based off of the cartoon Transformers. NOT the movies
(My car is a she bumblebee however, because my boyfriend drives a 2012 new beetle named smokescreen..) but I digress.

Nope. I don't like Transformers Prime. Nor did I like Transformers: Animated. I really think that they are trying to re-create something original.
I do give them credit for using Peter Cullen as Optimus in all the Transformers. I think though, the original cartoons were the best, and they should screw with something that's not broke...

Granted, I liked the movies, too. For what they are, not for what they're not. I just can't seem to read into them as much as G1 and TFP.
Yeah, the show's visual aesthetic is quite the departure from what was in G1. I think that's what some people like about it, while still looking around for the little nods to other continuities that seem to find their way into every incarnation of the franchise.
Indeed. But there will be those who grow up and care to note these developments, when looking back on Transformers history.

Yes, the movies are a bit different, and yes, they did take out alot of G1 stuff. More or less, I've seen them so many times that I just have em on in the background, like when i'm doing art or something.
Maybe the show is a little easier for kids these days to follow? the characters aren't so complex when transforming and its making them look more human-like so they can relate.
Yes, but its those people who see the changes in the newer transformers and not like it because it is newer and different. However, I must say Transformers have come along way, and other people might like the fact that they did get an "makeover" like, bringing them back in a way.

It's a good thing I don't have cable, let's just say that. I wouldn't want to pay to have access to the 70% or more of crap on TV overall nowadays.
Here's the RB article on Wiki if you're curious. It can explain better than me: [link]
Yes. If the movie/TV aspect of the franchise is to ever 'die', or be shelved to be revived at a later date, let it do so with dignity.

I agree. I don't watch Tv much anymore.. (given the exception to animal planet and discovery) its all a bunch of bogus.
I think with dignity is the only way to let it die.. it would be a shame to have it go down any other way..

Less insulting than Muscle Car Bumblebee, that's for sure.

I'm well aware of the position Bumblebee is supposed to hold, within the context of the series.
The fact that they gave him a job invariably held by a different 'bot in every other continuity for the Bayformers flicks is upsetting, especially when they killed off a 'bot that often holds the position normally to "justify" it.
The aligned continuity reconciles a lot of that by just being a different metaverse entirely, meaning it's "similar, but not strictly the same" series at all.

I agree with that. They did change him all the way around. Really did make him just a "bot" instead of an actual character, like the cartoons portray him as.
In all rights, I think alot of die hard Transformers fans like myself, and (you from what I gathered) are upset they did turn Bumblebee into a character that well, wasn't a character if that makes sense.

You mean how Michael Bay turned ALL the transformers into glorified walking action sequences?
Aligned is, on the other hand, a really cool new set of concepts.

Yes, instead of actual characters with emotion, and feelings. I Definitely prefer the cartoons over the movies. I do have a soft side for the movies though.
I haven't seen the new concepts.. are they out?

Aligned, thus far, covers War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron, and Transfromers Prime.

I did not like Transformers Prime at all, War for Cybertron I loved. I have not played, nor seen Fall of Cyberton yet. I do know Grimlock is in it though..
