NO ONE gets Jesus' eyes right! This... is a fairly accurate depiction. You're in the minority with this, btw, but that's a compliment!!!! It means you did something (good) that most don't get right. (Because I just love it when Jesus' eyes look like they actually could BE Jesus' eyes!^^)

When I said that the eyes are 'right,' I did not mean anatomical proportion. To me, anatomical correctness in a picture matters only if there is nothing else of value that the picture can offer. You drew Jesus. I mean YOU DREW JESUS!!!!! He *is* value, he *is* importance, he is a whole bunch of everything that is so much more important than anatomical correctness.
I never look at what is actually drawn, where Jesus is concerned. I look at the substance of it. Does it "fit" to be Jesus? To my mind, I can never know Jesus 100%, so the anatomical incorrectness is a way to show that there is something elusive about Jesus, something I will never be 100% certain about (until the very end, if then).
So to me, Jesus' eyes would be... not completely revealed. First there would be a whole lot of a range of emotions (wisdom, kindness, sympathy, sadness, and yet still a hope and understanding and INFINITE patience, as well as just a bit of happiness). Plus other things that I have no chance of coming up with because I am only human. But the point I am making is that there would be EVERYTHING in Jesus' eyes, and I would see only the small parts of what I was able to see. The rest would be in glimpses and pieces along the way, and never more than a few at a time.
This is what I love here -- the incompleteness of what we are able to grasp that hints that there is a lot more to him that we don't understand THAT HE IS NOT HIDING FROM US. But that if we want to, we can understand.
Thank you for this art piece.

Ooooh !!! That painting is absolutely beautiful !!! You got JESUS' eyes especially and wounds. I love it, and JESUS loves it, so stop criticizing yourself. It is totally inspired by the Lord.

This looks great Jay! I know you probably envisioned it coming out a lot better, but it looks beautiful. The colors alone are very rich and varied. The border is gorgeous and you can see how much your anatomy is improving. His eyes look much beter but they still have those points at the end.
