hehehe. I havent drawn one of these in almost 2 years....

I was browsing around DA a couple of days ago and suddenly came across some more Animorphs fanart. I say it openly, I loved Animorphs. They were the first real books that I read, and my introduction to shapeshifters. I have been obsessed ever since. I remember heaps of little things about the books too....

Anyway, I suddenly found my diary full of pictures of Andalites. Im going to colour up some other ones, but not at the moment.

I cant draw guns....Dont really know why I tried. I also tried to make a concrete light source. And I used a different shading method, which was fun. And, just for fun, here is my last attempt: [link] hmmmm

Its some annonymous Andalite Yay for animorphs, you're right, it doesn't get nearly enough credit. They got me into reading, and into sci fi and fantasy

Heh. I loved those books. They kept me reading throughout middle school, after I had read Tolkien's books and the Harry Potter books, I didn't know what else to read. The Animorphs gave me that.
I am really lucky, I think, when it comes to books. I read The Hobbit before I ever even knew about The Lord of The Rings, and I read The Andalite Chronicles before I ever even knew about The Animorphs. I was(am) very glad that I did, too.

I was such an Ani-nerd....I used to just devour those books. I would have liked to read the Andalite Chronicles before Animorphs, but it was good as a prequel too

I feel like such a failure though.

I got all the books up until, like... 50-something (I dunno', all but the last 3)

and never actually finished.

I've gotten rid of them all, since.

and I'll never know how it ended... Well, never get to read it, anyway. (They're impossible to find)

I didnt really pay much attention to the last few.....The quality died. So you didnt miss much I also got rid of all my books except the Chronicles ones. I loved them while they lasted though

Actually, I think that gun is awesome. It looks so big compared to this little guy ... I do like how you did the tail and hooves, too, especially including the little "absorbing" pad on the bottom of the one ... I've never actually thought to draw that.

The tails, I've noticed, tend to be the most varied in fanart. There are a lot of different ways to draw them ... makes you wonder if Andalites had different races like humans do, would they have more emphasis on shape and size of the tailblade rather than colour of fur? Philosophical, oh my

Love the picture ... he looks so cuddly and confused.

Male/female differences, I guess? Or maybe just different cover artists I much prefer Elfangor's blade ... when they say huge honking scary tail blade, they *mean* huge honkin' scary tail blade

There are a lot of different tail blades... *pulls out Andalite and Hork Bajir chronicles* Elfangors tail blade is really different to Aldreas....they have different coloured fur too

woh crap! i recognised this instantly, and i havt seen the show (or read a book) since i was TINY! i used too love the show, but never really got to watch it... but i NEVER see ANYTHING about it! i just remember a couple things, weird ear paracites = main bad guy, eagle boy cant change back, and this dude whoom you drew... man good memories within the sensation of nostalgia. thank you!

OH. MY. God. YOU DREW AN ANDALITE. I LOVE YOU.

Animorphs pretty much WAS my childhood ;_;. I LOVED THOSE BOOKS. I read almost all of them XD. Some multiple times 8D. LOVELOVELOVE. I hated the last book though XD;;;. SO STUPID. She was just bored of it, I guess D:.

Anyway, I love how you colored and shaded this!! So neat! The gun looks great too!! <3

Animorphs owned my childhood too, I counted the days until the next one came out. They were so great, but the end.....I wanted it to continue, or at least have a better end. It was too sudden

I had a bunch of random ones that I just bought, but I had to get rid of them I have all the special ones though, like the Andalite Chronicles, and the Hork Bajiir Chronicles (that was my all time favourite)

Me too! I used to devour them, but I think that the ending was a bit rushed...they were some of those books that I would have liked to go on forever

Yush. I wish the books could have gone on for longer too, but I guess she was just running out of ideas for the Animorphs. I mean how many books were there, 60 or something?
By the way, did you like the ending? When I first read it, though I like cried, I didn't really like it. It was too.... vague I guess. XD
