A revisit of this piece ( www.instagram.com/p/CtJsZ8OuZZ…) from earlier in the summer.
This time with an honest-to-god background that sort of suggests a winter scene. This isn't finished by the way, I've been playing around with Blender's compositor to see what else can I do in the way of adding special effects or doing things like adding bokeh or tilt-shift.
I do have some plans for a Halloween piece that involves 12-year-old Syleth and Rowan in his wolf-form. Yeah it's pretty obvious but it's Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf—though Rowan hardly qualifies as "bad"—I do have a few gags in the prequels where he gets referred to as "Gmork " ('80s kids will get the reference) for the way he acts when being protective of Syleth (or in one instance, her beat-up truck after getting her driver's license, which doesn't have working locks)
On that note, I decided to push my knowledge of cloth simulation in Blender a little more by attempting to model this dress . It was a pain in the ass for the sewing portion—one of which was needing to increase the size of my "dress dummy" model x10, and remember to freakin' enable the gravity setting—don't get me started on that. So many issues in the past that I've had with Blender's cloth sims and it came down to enabling one freakin' check-box.
Yes, the dress will be a freebie at some point
I /finally/ got Daz's Dog 8/Dire Wolf morph properly rigged in Blender for that little project—there will be some test renders at some point.
Till next time!
An example of the dress I'm currently working on in Blender:
