I've always seen Tails as the one who fixes everything, the one who cleans up all the messes. Who saves Sonic from all those pitfalls only to be crushed by an ever "quickly moving left" screen of death? Who holds down those buttons and levers so Sonic can safely get across deadly traps of doom only to have those traps spring on him as soon as he tries to cross? Who mops up the.... well, yeah. So it was Sonic's 21st anniversary this past weekend, and just as we celebrate his 21st, maybe we should also take a moment to recall why he has survived to see it, and give Tails a pat on the back and a good old high five, or something.Related content

Yeah, Tails was awesome, then they next gened him into a useless character, except in Sonic Chronicles

It does seem that in the later games Tails really got shafted, kinda sad 'cause he's such an awesome character, but c'est la vie

Yeah, Tails was awesome in 3! I always sorta felt like I was cheating a little though, I mean he could fly and swim... really made a lot of things easier XD

Well, the level where you fight in the sky wasn't easy with him, cause you couldn't jump attack at the boss like when you played sonic

Oh, your right! You had to wait for Robotnik to come on screen and attempt to angle yourself into a good hit spot in time... totally forgot about that boss fight!
