It's time for Africa again!!
Chapter three starts, are you guys excited? 
This chapter opens right where we left off, with Africa walking away from the huge baobab and into unexplored land.
I had fun emphasizing the heat emanating from the ground, I really hope I gave the impression of a torrid, dry weather to contrast the humidity of the last few rainy pages.

I love this page! The heat coming from the ground is outstanding, and the way Africa is sheltering her cubs is so caring.
I feel like Africa's head shape has changed, it does make her look like the heat is impacting her, but she also looks old. And Binti, who to my eyes has always been shown as the weaker, smaller cub, seems bigger than Mosi. Also, I love them, but how are butterflies living in this heat? They need a lot of nectar and I don't see any flowers... (Are they magic butterflies?)

Some butterflies survive off of the fluids and enzymes present in animal feces and urine. Ones that are present in deserts despite there being few or no flowers will survive in this way, like some equatorial butterflies. I think its similar to the blue butterflies in the africa story?

Wow. The difference a little bit of sunlight can make is astounding.
After being so used to seeing the characters in the dark, dreary rains, it's kind of.. Amazing to see their actual colors in the light.
You did a very good job of making this page stand out as opposed to the ones that came before it. The textures are incredibly detailed, and the little haze in the distance showing the early-morning heat is beautiful.
In the third panel where it shows Africa shading her cubs, the stark contrast between her shadow and the sun beating on her back is.. Spot on.
The butterflies are also surprisingly lovely to look at. Bravo for this page chica!

I can practically feel the heat coming off this page! The saturation especially gives that feel of hot, dry, environment.
