XD In a lot of ways, Duckula is very kid-like... Just consider Nanny his overly loving mother, and Igor as his realistic "M'Lord- I am disappoint" father, and you've got it.
Lol... Now I wanna see Igor say "M'Lord- I am disappoint".

It was an awesome show... I HATE to say it was better then Danger Mouse, but it was REALLY around that level of awesomeness.

I rightfully remember an episode that showed Nanny asleep in her bed, and you saw a photo of her family on the wall. All of them had their arm in a sling. Which got a laugh and that's why I remember it so fondly.
And I love your style, especially Goosewing peeking out over Nanny's shoulder.

Ok so Duckula is actually the son of the reincarnation before him who was Dangermouse's enemy. That's basicly it. all of his reincarnations are related to him..and I guess none of them have first names. o.O

battybuddy In reply to blahdiddy2003 [2005-11-01 20:36:11 +0000 UTC]
Actually, the way I see it, it was him... Just an earlier, more bloodthirsty version.
The whole consept of sons, and decendents and stuff gets kinda wierd when you're dealing with both vampires and reincarnation...

You should consider doing a background of the castle in your style, as well as colouring it in.
But this is a good style for them, nonetheless.

In the heart of Transylvania,
In the Vampire Hall of Fang-yia,
There's not a vampire zanier than Duckula.
He won't bite beast or man,
'Cos he's a vegetarian,
And things never run to plan for Duckula.
If you're looking for some fun,
You can always count upon,
The wild and wacky one they call Duckula.
(Count Duckula - he he he heeh!)
That show was cool. Plus it had one of the best theme songs in a cartoon EVER!

THANK YOU- I spent YEARS trying to figure out how both themesongs go, and you just solved half the mystery...
... Say- you don't happen to know the ENDING theme word-for-word, do you?

I'm honestly not sure which I like more.
I mean, Dangermouse was the first fanart I've ever drawn(and it was at a time when I believed in a Roger Rabbit world), but Count Duckula- he reminded me more of myself... Also, he made me a vegitarian for a short time.

Great work!
I believe I've seen every episode of this show... but it was long ago, I was a mere kid and I barely remember anything, so I don't know if Nanny's arm was ever explained. But I do still remember that the Polish version was dubbed and remember all the main character's Polish voices.

battybuddy In reply to JSZ-JaZz [2005-08-09 19:48:56 +0000 UTC]
I never heard the polish version(I've kind of recently got into the whole "Voice acting around the world" bit from animated DVDs... For example, the French Roger Rabbit is, in my opinion, the best sounding.). How do they sound?... Assuming you can describe the voice work(It's kind of hard to do that kind of thing.)

JSZ-JaZz In reply to battybuddy [2005-08-10 10:40:21 +0000 UTC]
I'll try...
Count Duckula had this nose voise (when you don't plug your nose but you feel it does something with your voice... yah, I don't know how to describe THAT), but I assume the voice actor was quite young. A teenager maybe.
However Igor had a very adult and intelligent voice. I think his voice actor usually played as a narrator... Yes, I think I even heard his voice recently.
Nanny's voice sounded like female Goofy. As long as it was perfectly chosen I can't say anything more about it.
Goosewing's voice was something between Igor, Donald Duck and obsessed lunatic. I don't remember what did the accent do in Polish language...

Hitlersbrain [2005-08-08 14:21:52 +0000 UTC]
WOOHOO!
I don't think it was ever explained.. and I've definitely seen every episode. I always just assumed it was all that crashing thru walls..
