I love looking at the majesty of a tower from such a perfect angle!
The only thing I'm not too crazy about though is the flag... kinda spoils it :/
Old and "new" don't really go together in such an awsome photo.

I really like this photo though, looks just like a postcard

Haha yet another person who is not particularly fond of the States' flag. I also feel it's somewhat incongruous with the somewhat medieval look of the structure, but eh, what can you do?

But I'm most happy you like it

Excellent angle! It gives the tower an even more spooky standing. The american flag looks a bit irrelevant.

Thanks so much Elena! I completely agree with the flag bit - and many others share your view ^_^

what a beautifully romantic shot! Except the flag. Not that I don't like the U.S. flag... I mean I live here, I just wish they would have removed it for your shot. LOL

Hehe I don't like the flag either - methinks it's rather garish, I mean, stars and stripes, does it get any cheesier? (Wait, it's a crime to damage the flag, but is it to defame it? I best be vewy vewy quiet ) Anyway I'm most pleased that you like this shot - perhaps I should edit out the offending star-spangled banner?

Well, I am not sure about the crime in defaming the flag and I have to completely agree that it's not very ummmm pretty. (ick!!!) So, in my opinion, I'd prolly get it out of the photo, but I also think that once certain people read this that they will get VERY miffed that we are so "shallow" as to talk about how the flag takes away from the image. I don't care, personally, but you might catch some shit for it. It's a beautiful photo regardless.... if you don't mind it, leave it! It's your gallery darling

Thanks, my fansmabulous feline friend, you always know how to give me advice and yet allow me to trust in my own judgement. I'm thinking some other kind of flag would be nice, maybe if it was in the UK (and I'd love to go there again some time! *wink*) then the Her Majesty's personal standard would be awesome. Perhaps if we spoke of the US flag in a sarcastic manner nobody'd notice.

P.S. Hmm I read in your signature that the asylum treats the artistically insane. My feeling is that perhaps it is the artistically inane who really need help.

awesome photo, i like how the tree's act like a border so they enclose the space, but they dont seriously overlap the tower. great shot

Thanks so much! My view is that a strong natural frame strengthens the composition immensely. I'm glad you like it! ^_^

How beautifully imposing. I like the leaves that juuuuust creep in from the corners of the frame.

It makes me feel like holding two coconuts and hitting them together rhythmically as I approach the tower ...
and then being asked about the velocity of flying pigeons carrying burdens.

Er. That was random. Sorry. XD

*sings* I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts... and hurrah for Python! XD

Kisses for you too, sweetie ^_^

Magnificent!
The Ivy on the tower and the shot make it so magic!
I love it!
