Description this a personal pet-peeve of mine.

but i absolutely HATE it when people gripe about anime (or whatever other type of animation) being *ahem* "Non-professional".

the main thing people mention is how there are less frames in the characters' movements, making the animation appear somewhat choppy so it is often classified as cheap.

But i have a major question to ask;

Why does animation have to have 267 million-trillion-billion frames just to tell a good story or give a good message to it's audience?

in my honest opinion, animation doesn't need all of that in order to be beautiful.

sure, all those extra frames may add a bit more pizazz, but if there's no good morel to it, then what's the point?

True, but it looks nicer with the higher frame count as well as good drawings and coloring.

Maybe so, but as stated in the description, it just doesn't work too well if you spend all your time focusing on the animation but fail to even think about working on your story, I've seen a couple of cases in which both american cartoons and animes can be faced with the 'pretty picture but shitty story' problem (Such as the newer episodes of Spongebob for a 'cartoon' example and Akame ga Kill for an 'anime' example, both have great, fluid animation but their stories/plot points are so frustratingly bad that they make me wanna kick a kitten...and I like kittens, so you know the stories are just THAT bad.).

But really that's only if you're trying to do a serious project, if you're just animating for the sake of animating (And being civil with it, none of this "I added 5 more frames than you, so I'm automatically better!" kind of bullshit I'm so sick of seeing) then that's a completely different story.

I understand that entirely.

I actually find non-perfect animation more charming sometimes.

Assuming 24 frames per second, that'd be a little over 100 million hours long!

I'm going to be honest, sometimes anime frames do kind of bug me. (pointless filler being the other reason) It's part of why I love manga so much. Most of my issues with my favorite animes don't exist in mangas. I generally watch anime because I want to see something animated, and if that part of it ends up falling short then I'd rather read a comic or manga version of it. That's just my opinion though.

I think those that use a "choppy" animations add a certain uniqueness just like people who use a fluid animation add a certain uniqueness to it. I enjoy both really.
