Description It is finished. Well, it was finished two days ago.... I just couldn't submit it until now. Anyway, it is acrylic on canvas measuring 24" by 30". I am really happy with the result and I can't wait until the exibit that it is supposed to be in. This will be my first fine art piece that will be for sale as an original (at the exhibit) and I am really excited. My favourite part about it is that it was done with pallette knife in parts, so it is really thick and textury. Pallette knife is hard! Enjoy.

Wow... did i say... wow!! this is wonderful I love the atmosphere you've capture it so well, the 'orch roof' looks a littl odd though but hey... that's a minor

Thanks. That section of the farmhouse actually is an add-on and doesn't have a pitched roof on it. so it has that cutt-off effect.

This is wonderful! I admire people who can work so deftly with traditional media. I am a digital painter myself but I LOVE traditional art!

P.S. Kudos to you for replying to all your comments! I think it's great when artists do that.

Thank you! Digital art is a lot of fun, Every now and then, after working on the computer for a while I will go back to my canvas and then I'll mess up or something and try to hit CTRL + Z, lol. At least its not like my teacher who gets on the computer and sometimes wipes his WACOM pen with his hand before he gets a new color as if it where a brush.

Do you know what I most like about it? That I can sense this.
BTW what is a pallette knife?
And for the exhibition

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

bobtheraccoon In reply to TaliN07 [2006-04-18 23:37:35 +0000 UTC]

Palette knife is a spatula like thing used in mixing paints and sometimes for painting instead of a brush... [link] it kinda cakes the paint onto the painting really thickly when you use it.
