Nice! Brings back some fond memories of a few years ago when I went there to do some experiments. Pulsars by day, vodka by night!

I also watched "The Dish" on the first night there. After that, I decided to "play cricket" like they did in the movie the next day.

There was vodka in the fridge so we decided to help ourselves
I'm not a fan of cricket either, but we saw them playing cricket in the movie so we'd thought it would be funny.
I got to go onto the surface and into the antenna room because the operations scientist thought it would be useful for me to know how everything works. At first we were going to lower the dish so that one side is almost at ground level, stand on it and then elevate it to the upright position. But the day was too windy so we couldnt move the dish at all. We ended up accessing the surface through the cylindrical tower in the middle, climbing a ladder that leads to the surface via a small hole at the centre. The photo doesnt really show it, but the surface was so bright, it was like being in a snowfield!
