Description EDIT: This drawing is Oldy McOld, and I've done a much better one.

Lucario is my favorite Pokemon, so it's only fitting that I'd draw his skeleton eventually. Furthermore, I am very particular when it comes to Lucario's anatomy, as I don't like it when people mess it up. (I also don't get why most "realistic" Lucario drawings are just blue two-legged wolves. Surely it's possible to do a realistic pic without throwing his anatomy out the window? If I ever master semi-realistic, I'll give it a go.)

Notes:

- Lucario has a highly unique jaw structure. The snout actually extends outward past the jaw. Its skull is more rounded than a normal canine's and the back of the cranium has a small ridge of bone that supports the nerve bundles in his Aura sensors.

- Lucario has very short calves in relation to its thighs, and in fact, the foot/tibia ratio is well over 1.0, which explains its top running speed of 75 kph--particularly fast for a biped.

- The pelvis, like usual, gave me trouble, but I managed to get is as accurate as possible (In fact, Lucario's skeleton is overall far more accurate than my last three). The pelvis may look too narrow, but that is due to the sheer mass of Lucario's thigh muscles. Because the organic metal compound comprising its skeleton is remarkably lightweight, over 40% of Lucario's weight is in its thigh muscles.

- About 2/3 of the way down the tail, there is a bent vertebra, causing the distinct shape.

- The spike on the chest is an extension of the sternum, and the wrist spikes are fused to the metacarpus.

As you can see, I take my favorite Pokemon very seriously. This is by far my favorite of my skeleton drawings, and I hope you all like it too. And I still have no formal anatomy knowledge (although I did take a figure drawing class where we looked into the human skeleton). I just like knowing how things work.

(My next skeleton, when I get around to it, will probably be Lugia.)

You know I did a bit of research and it finds out that the shoulder discs are actually Tetsuwa (otherwise known as Tekkan) They are a martial arts training weight from japan. It goes all the way back to Japan's iron age as they are literally solid iron rings (Tetsu being metal and wa referring to ring.) The rings weigh in from about 20 pounds and up. Although that is an estimate as I would have to actually figure out the size of the rings and do a large math equation to actually get the real weight.

Since this was not stated I think lucario's skeleton is made of steel which would explain the steel type. PS This is great XD
