I love this one especially. The pea vines curling out of the pages, and the rounded shapes of the peas pressing through the slit in the left-hand page... The lighting on this pic turned out especially well, too.Bristol board sewn into signatures, cut and shaped. (If you dampen the paper, shape it, and hold it in place while it dries, it keeps that shape.) Mounted on acid-free hardboard covered with lokta bark paper.

I really love the peas peeking through the slit. Equally impressive is the phtoography skills in this pic - it captures the shadows just nicely!

Thank you! I was lucky doing the photo - there was strong sunlight reflecting up off the floor, so I leaned the piece against the wall in the reflected light. I turned it upside down so that the light seemed to come from above. The reflected light gave beautiful soft shadows without flattening out the bright areas.

So delicate...and the most amazing peapods...and peas!!!........................oh and the tendrils !
