The Protective Solutions LLC AR6 was designed early in the Interwar Period as a submission to the Earth Union's STORM 2 trials. The rifle performed well, but was ultimately passed up in favor of the Manufacture d'armes de Gaetan submission. Despite this, the rifle saw significant success in sales to the African Union, Novus Republic, and United Trade Coalition.
The first version of the rifle was chambered in 6.5x50mm, with later versions being adapted to use 6mm 'Razor' as well as STORM-series magazines. Fire rate stood at 900 rounds per minute in fully automatic. Unlike the STORM series, the AR6 lacked an ambidextrous fire selector.
The rifle's performance was widely praised, notably by the UTC who's interdiction squads appreciated the firearm's compact size and lack of recoil. It also proved popular in the civilian markets of the Novus Republic and African Union, where it was widely used in competition and small game hunting.
The above pictured model was a limited edition two-tone version released to the civilian market.
