The last rifle of the UN.

The Manufacture d'armes de Gaetan (MAG) STORM 1 was originally put into service with the French armed forces and was later adopted as the standard issue small arm of the UN. When the UN changed over to the Earth Union the rifle held its place, continuing to see use through the Civil War (also known as the First Interstellar War) and into the early Interwar Period. When it was eventually phased out by the STORM 2, it continued to see use by Earth Union Civil Enforcement and smaller private police forces.

Performance-wise, the STORM 1 was considered by many to be better than its successor, featuring a generally higher build quality and excellent reliability. The rifle was chambered in 6.5x50mm and had a fire rate of 800 rounds per minute.
