I recently received a note from someone asking me to post another ThunderCats illustration. And so in response to that request here is a color view of the Cats' Lair from the original series. Sorry, I won't be posting anything from the new remake that will be coming out soon.Related content

This is a very cool prototype version of the Cat's Lair. It even made it into the Marvel "ThunderCats" comics.

It has been a long time since I've seen the ThunderCats comic book. If I remember correctly I don't think I was too thrilled by it.

I am pretty sure I say this a lot, but it's always interesting to see the evolution the characters and structures went through to get to the final product. The first things I noticed are that it's pre-branding and the structures like the paws and bridge are directly cut from the rock rather than retractable.

Yes, it is always nice to see early production art and compare it to the final product. It's especially nice to be able to find it in color.
