Is it possible to combine the code with another content-holder box? I would like to have two boxes side by side (which I've figured out) but have the left one transparent and the right one normal.
What I mean, since I most likely explained that extremely badly, is that I would like to have a drawing on the left hand side of a box holding my stamps, and therefore in separate boxes.
I'm willing to try out any suggestions!

Aah hi!
So on my profile I have a custom box widget with two boxes side-by-side; in the left box I have a drawing, and in the right box I have all my stamps
However, instead of having a solid white box for the drawing, I was wondering if I could make that box transparent while still have the boxes next to each other

Ah, yes you can! I actually am quite experienced with this kinda things!

Could you show me a screenshot of the coding you have in the box currently? I will try my best to tell you what you should change in order to get it work~

Could you stretch the widget a bit so I could see all of the coding? ;w;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinoGrayopteryx In reply to Queen-Dreamy [2016-06-27 20:18:04 +0000 UTC]

That's the most I can do- the coding I screenshotted was for the left

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Queen-Dreamy In reply to SinoGrayopteryx [2016-06-27 20:35:30 +0000 UTC]

Alrighty.

So basically, by what I can see, there shouldn't be any problem with just switching the content holder; Whatever you have as the content holder code on the left, just remove that code. Once you've removed it, you should be left with the left side's content just floating on top of the backrgound, without a holder for it. And from where you removed the content holder code, just add this holder's code instead.

I suppose that is what you were looking for? If not, feel free to give me any further details

Is it possible at all to put a semi-transparent image inside that transparent custom box?

Deviantart coding frustrates me so much

saaros In reply to Melzurai [2016-01-11 17:27:39 +0000 UTC]

do you mean something like this?
>Semi Transparent Content-holder box Tutorial

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Melzurai In reply to saaros [2016-01-11 21:45:40 +0000 UTC]

Something like that, but not really. I wanted to have a 50% opacity white image on this content holder box as a background  so that it would show through to the image background of the custom box itself, but it turns out that it was a solid content holder box and doesn't work like that. I then found this transparent content holder box , but you can't add an image background to it. Basically what I want: The transparent content holder box with a semi-transparent white background in it so that you can kind of see the background below (custom box background). And actually being able to type on top of it, with just that image as the semi-transparent part.
I don't even know if it's possible though.

saaros In reply to Melzurai [2016-01-11 22:33:54 +0000 UTC]

ehhhhh, have you tried putting togheter the tutorial that i showed you w/ the other one that tells you how to put your own background there? maybe when you put the background, and add the transparent thing of the other tutorial you can do what you want to. the thing is that the text will be transparent too, aaaand i don't think there's nothing more to do there. you can try this, but idk if it will work just like what you want:
>code in description  pls ignore the drawing, i just can't post the code in the comment or in a journal/stah writer bc then it starts working ?? or just not showing.

also, i recomend you to look up for others colors for the text if the background doesn't let read it too much, like these:
>White Text Custombox (Updated)
>Colored Text (Custom box) - More colors

that's all i can do, i'm sry if it doesn't work for you, hope i can help!

Hey, I know this is really late, and it looks like you don't have core at the moment, but I actually found a working wide content holder code if you ever want it.
