Description Someone started a Let's Play Panzer Corps: Wehrmacht in a forum thread. Right now the campaign is taking place in Greece. I've decided to draw quick (emphasis on QUICK) comics to sum up the action.

Before you critique, the effort all went into the jokes rather than the drawing and it holds relevance to the "Let's Play" session rather than actual facts. But, for those of you familiar with World War 2, you'll probably still get the jokes.

Panzer Corps: Wehrmacht Let's Play Comic #1 - The Italians.

Unfortunately italians had great men but poor high commanders and shitty equipment. You should be not surprised if they were usless in WWII. Still, italians made some pretty amazing things during the war, such as: it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carica_d…

I can't argue with that.

However, for the record there are some facts that I have to mention:

1) The attack was to be combined with a bad-thought move to corrupt Greek government official to allow the Italian troops to peacefully occupy parts of Greece's territory (Epirus and the Ionian Islands); unsurprisingly, it failed. It was also hoped to have Bulgarian assistance at least to tie down some of the Greek troops, but the Bulgarians knew better.
2) Even the Italian HQ knew that the Italian forces allocated for the attack were insufficient (they estimated the need of 20 divisions, but at the time of the attack only five and parts of two others were available), and that this was a useless war begun when the North African front required all the attention, but they were overrun by Mussolini who received overly optimistic reassurances by the local theater commander (who turned out to be completely incompetent and was quickly sacked).

In these conditions, it's hard to imagine a different outcome.Β

I want to be clear, I'm not criticizing anyone: the joke still stands. I'm ok with the laughs, but after laughing perhaps it's better to check history.

6 weeks, to be exact. They also had equal, if not better technology, and tanks that could drive faster backwards... ._. To think they would've realized what that meant for the army...

And the only people that actually did stuff in the 'French Army' was the Foreign Legion. Which isn't actually French...
