the white flower contrasted out in the harsh indoor bad non-professional lighting i used initially so don't bitch about it here
this is an image of surreal emotion for me and i hope you can look at it for its composition, color and hopefully feel some emotion from it the first on my path focusing on portraits obscured somehow by masks or objects - this one in particular inspired by the work of and enjoy!

Yeah your welcome. This picture is probably the most inviting in your gallery from what I've seen. The lighting is a little bright but I don't know what I'd change about it. The composition is what intrigued me. I'm not going to go into a deep theological critque of what this means to me, because I don't think it's necessary. The picture is beautiful and the colors are vivid, that's what counts. People can make whatever they want out of this but as an illustrator and designer it's the first punch that makes or breaks an image. Bottomline whoever this woman is (maybe it's you) she's got gorgeous eyes and the hair is amazingly vivid and luscious. The flower is an awesome texture. The wall in the background with the wood is irrelevent to ME, but I think it does finish up the composition very well. It's a nice slap in the face image. Nice work.

This is beautiful. I think there is just something about the expression, there seems to be a little sadness or something missing in the eye...and that is why I love it soo much I think. That little extra touch of feeling.

Wow I love the contrast of the innocent/shy white, against the vibrant/powerful red of the hair. Its stunning, and this really really works. 
The lines through the hair and the line of the wood at the bottom really give it all some balance aswell.

I love the vibrant colour of your hair and eye. But I also like the lack of colour af the feathers (I think) and the dark backgound.

The lighting is excellent! It's starkness really enhances the feelings of shyness and insecurity. The high contrast of the flower works very well, actually. It's enough just to know that it's a flower. Any detail would distract from the subject. Excellent work! I can't wait to see more!

i find this very beautiful. it's clear to me that this is something you're trying to express in your own way. so maybe not everyone will get what you're trying to say... but everyone will be touched by it in one way or another.
you have very beautiful eyes and hair.
that flower is a GREAT touch because it's not really in focus and - like you mentioned - it contrasted with the lighting. i don't think that is a flaw in any way shape or form. that really draws the attention to your face.. which is the most important part of what you're trying to express. i also like ~greeneyeswink 's idea of it being eraser marks!
