Name: Cheshi
Name Meaning: amusing, funny
Status: Pridelands (till runaway), Border Warrior of the Skyvalley Pride
Relations: Mate to Tama, semi-mate to many
Summary: Cheshi is a rather cocky and self enamored individual: he is very proud of his unique looks and thinks he’s a cut above the rest. And it doesn’t help that he is rather decent in spars against other male cubs, though lacking bulk, he is very good at out maneuvering his opponent, tiring them out over time. But what he is most well known for is his love of the ladies: even as a cub he was always trying to flirt with the lionesses.
Many of the older lionesses think he’s cute but most of his peers find him annoying, especially the other males. But Cheshi hardly lets it bother him, his arrogance blinding him to it and often getting him into trouble.
Once Scar takes over, that all changes. The lessons and ways of the hyenas he is put under changes much of his mindset: they are a entirely lead by females, finding them superiors as they are the ones who provide cubs and provide for all. The idea humbles him and further more he becomes enamored with the idea of a female being his superior, that they must prove themselves worthy of being his mate by being better then him. So he takes on this twisted philosophy, intent on testing every females worth until he finds the one that proves to be his superior, the mate worthy of him.
He sets in his mind that the only way to do this is by stepping up the flirting, making the lioness feel like they are the greatest commodities. Should the lioness be humbled by this act, bending over backwards to gain him as a mate, they are not worthy. But should they turn up a nose to him, think nothing of it but still the barest interest, asking to prove himself further, then he’s found a lioness worthy of his affections and he shall court her till she is his.
So the years come to pass and Cheshi invokes this plan on all the lionesses in the pride, regardless of age. Some are smitten, others repulsed or shocked, a few even smack him across the face, or chase him off: none prove to be what he is looking for. So when Ni heads off with his band to distant lands, Cheshi comes along in the hopes that their travels he will meet the lioness he wants. But sadly it does not, they meet many prides in their travels and Cheshi is able to try out many of these lionesses but none meet his criteria. In fact, it’s often getting him and his group into trouble. But then they settle in Sky Valley and he meets HER.
Her name is Tama and she is the most beautiful lioness he’s ever seen. But looks aren’t everything as he has learned and he expects her to be like all the rest of the lionesses: going all sappy and weak once he flirts with her. But to his surprise, she does not: she barely raises an eyebrow at his advances and his further pursuits make her chuckle or sneer. She says she finds his actions “cute” and that if he wants to get with a lioness like her, he has a lot to learn. Cheshi is absolutely thrilled: he’s found his girl and is intent on claiming her: so he seeks her out and asks her to show him how to be a “worthy” lion.
Intrigued and secretly lonely, Tama takes him out and on one of her “trips” and shows him the ropes through a willing lioness. It’s a rather embarrassing and shocking event but he goes through with it and continues to follow her on her trips with the intent of taking it in so as to some day be able to please her in that way.
As time goes on, the two become close, very close. Cheshi is now madly in love with her: no lioness is able to sedate his needs and the idea of another lion touching her sets his anger a blaze. And he can see she cares for him as well, but is too scared of heartbreak to tell him. But he can wait, he’ll give her all the time in the world so long as she promises to be his there after.
But time is not on there side for long, Tama’s supply of herbs and potions falls short long enough for the unthinkable to happen: Tama has conceived a child from one of the many matings at the borders. Cheshi is shocked by this and secretly hurt as the child is not his, but upon seeing how weak and scared she is, he comes to her aid. He promises to stay by her, to become her mate and be a father to her child, regardless of whom it takes after. As he explains it, the child is hers and that is more then enough reason for him to love it, as he loves her more then anything. This confession is enough to stop Tama’s tears of fear and replaced by those of joy: she accepts his offer and gives her heart to him in place of being his one and only mate.
So the pair are bound as one: Tama settling down and taking a position of a pride sister while Cheshi becomes a Border Warrior. So the two fall into a wonderful bliss, looking forward to becoming parents and raising a family. Just as Cheshi always wanted.

*EDIT* Added in Cheshi's bio which I may edit later . This guy has a odd way of thinking about things and is a cocky but has a heart of gold none-the-less. There aren't many men out there that would willingly settle down with a girl that was pregnant with a child not there own just out of love. We seriously need more guys like him in the the world. *EDIT*

Cheshi everybody! This guy, along with Chuma, was a fan favorite when I posted his pencil design. So I tried WAY too hard to make him look sexy and instead he came out looking fat. The colors are fine, great in fact but I wish he was more lean built, more Scar-esque if you will. I'll come back some day and change that but not now, I have other things that need attending to.
Don't worry my lovely Cheshi, I'll make you sexy D:.
Fun Fact: Cheshi's mane design and color are based off a rooster.
