My most difficult map to date! Here is the Taiwan-like scenario applied to the USA.
A communist, China-styled takeover in the contigous United States forces the old government to flee to Hawaii, where they reorganize to gain back control of the mainland. Alaska is occupied by Canada for the most part, and some of the Alaskan islands in the Bering Sea are occupied by Russia. Puerto Rico becomes an independent republic.
P.S. I changed the name of the city of Bismarck, North Dakota, to Ulbritch - from a German emperor to a German communist leader
FYI: in Taiwan-like, the scenario consists in a communist takeover of the mainland of a nation, and the escape of the old government to some big island, part of said nation, much like OTL's escape of Kuomingtang China to Taiwan, after the communists' victory in the mainland.

Well, I'm not sure, but this scenario causes a chill on the spine, for the simple scenario that the leading state of the Free and Capitalist World falls into the hands of socialists is almost unattainable for many people, especially now that the Soviet Union and almost all their puppets / vassals are now in the dustbin of history where they belong.
But, is it possible that the sworn enemies of the United States manage to seize political power?
I think some kind of Revelion or Coup d'etat in China, North Korea or Vietnam is more prausible ...
Now I wonder, what will be the response of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to the socialist / leftist takeover of one of its most influential members?
Will this Union of Socialist Republics of America go to war against Canada for control of Alaska?
Will the United Nations headquarters be relocated to another place like Paris?

For that, the scenario would have to be developed. But I think Hawaii would slowly lose international support and recognition like Taiwan did. As the PRC was chosen over Taiwan as the internationally recognised government of China, the UASR would surely follow that path some years after the takeover.

In this case, shouldn't the Northwest Angle be occupied by Canada as well? (Point Roberts is too tiny to be seen in this scale)

I think that instead of forming "Special Administration of Bering Sea", West Aleutians would just became part of Kamchatsky krai

It's just because that administration is intended to be temporary, to be returned some day to the US if they'd ever succeed in retaking the mainland. So, it is a "special administration" practically only by name. Also Canada has that kind of role with the rest of Alaska
