(2009) 9"x12" pencil, ink, watercolor, gold leaf, photographed and framed in Photoshop.For Sagittarius I kind of let the color scheme evolve by itself. My mental image of the sign actually involves gold and a deep midnight blue with a tint of blackish-violet, but my watercolor box had different ideas, and so the result is this sunset-blush composition in shades of royal purple with some scarlet highlights, and I am quite oddly happy with that, too.

I find it very fascinating that you seem to choose colour schemes for each sign that appeal to my very much, though I'm generally absolutely not the sign type... my middle sister is sagittarius, and the colours and "flow" fit very well to my image of her, colour-wise.

This is , once again a masterpiece! The composition, colour palette and superb skills you have brought to bear in creating this piece are wonderful! It reminds me of Medieaval Illustrated Manuscripts such as the "Book of Kells" and the "Lindisfarne Gospels"! Have you been secreting yourself away in an ascetic, monastic cell, whilst creating this?!! Cheers!

Please, did you get the translation of the Latin in the background? I like the composition and pose - except - for the color scheme....as a Sag - I would've done it with a diff palette - but to each their own!!
