Thanks.
My app icons become regular icons on the taskbar the moment they are in running state. When not running they are displayed with token icons. How to fix that?

Can I use this only by changing a .dll or it's more complicated? Sorry for the noob question but I searched really hard and didn't found a guide anywhere. If I only have to change a dll where is it located?

Enzoisamazing In reply to bongie1 [2011-09-13 21:03:57 +0000 UTC]
Yes, you only need to change the DLL, which its location varies between 64 and 32 bit OS. 32bit will be in system32 in the windows folder. 64 will be in syswow64.

Any chance this will support Win7 SP1? If you don't know I can test it out (after making backups of course)

Have a look in .dll files, especially ones that have "res" in them. like ppres.dll or something.

I changed the icon for Firefox myself, this mod changes the Pin and close buttons on the taskbar.

Where these "Pin this program to taskbar & Close this window" icons are located in this dll file, there's so many icons and it'll take forever to search, i mean in what number, i ask because i want to edit my dll file too.
thanx you

Well these are generally the kind of things that go under "If you know what your doing, go for it, if you don't, don't touch it"
Yes, this mod is compatible with that icon pack, the imageres is to be replaced with the one residing in system32, thats for both 32 n 64 bit. in 64bit you DONT replace the imageres in syswow64. then restart your pc and voila!

I think I'm right in saying the system files cover all versions of Windows 7.
The preview is from W7 Ultimate. It may appear different to the default Aero, due to the fact it's a custom theme.
