Description
On the afternoon of May 26, 2010, we're on BNSF's Southern Transcon outside of Seligman AZ to chase trains. Soon, we caught Amtrak Train #3, the Westbound Southwest Chief, from Chicago IL to Los Angeles CA. The train was running over 5 hours & 15 minutes behind schedule & is making up for lost time behind 2 usual P42DC's as it files pass the cameras heading for it's next stop in Kingman AZ. Bringing up the rear is the CB&Q/NP Dome Car "Stampede Pass", NYC Budd Tavern Car #43, & NYC Observation car "Babbling Brook". The 3 Private cars were on their way to LA for private charters on the Coast Line behind the Coast Starlight to Seattle. The train would arrive in Hollywood, the following afternoon, while we headed to a local diner for lunch.
