Description

A creature whose mental capacities have grown to impossible sizes, its brain has fused with its eyes in order to fit it all. This growth has made it too heavy to fly through normal means, so it must rely on its psychic abilities instead to float and move. It no longer hungers for basic flesh and food, but instead thrives off of thoughts and mental energy. Floating with its own telekinesis, it seeks out sapient prey and uses the churning patterns and colors of its eyes to entrance them. With its food immobilized, it attaches its sucking mouth part to the skull and leeches away thoughts and memories. It tends to go after recent memories and stray thoughts, avoiding important parts of the mind so that the prey remains alive and well for future feedings. At the end of every feeding session, it devours the memory of this very encounter and then drifts away. The victim is left to wake up from some weird "daydream" and wonder what they were doing. There will be the sensation that they forgot something important, or that they missed something, but these feelings will soon pass. Whatever it was must not have mattered, as surely they would have remembered it...

Flies have some crazy looking eyes, which made me think some psychic bug monster with psychedelic eyes, but then it evolved into flying brain bug.
