Elijah Bradley in this Alternate Marvel Universe is the son of Marcus Bradley/Super Soldier X who has inherited similar enhanced physical abilities to that of his father and currently seeks to follow in the footsteps of both his father and his heroic idol, Captain America as the young hero known as the Patriot.

When he began to display enhanced physical traits as a young child, his father began to train him in how to use and conceal his enhanced physical abilities as they grew as he got older. As he entered puberty, Elijah was already at the height of physical athletic perfection as well as an expert hand to hand combatant and gifted tactical thinker due to the training he received from his father. When his father was recruited into S.H.I.E.L.D. Elijah finally met Captain America who provided additional combat training alongside offensive/defensive usage of a shield lessons.

Seeking to use his enhanced abilities and skills to become a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Superhuman Operative Division, of which his father was positioned as commander, Elijah created the Patriot identity. However he was informed he could not join the Division or S.H.I.E.L.D. until he turned 21 resulting in Patriot becoming an independent costume adventurer until he can officially become an operative of S.H.I.E.L.D. Despite not being a fully recognized operative of S.H.I.E.L.D. Patriot has been given a Provisionary Operative status that grants him access to certain declassified S.H.I.E.L.D. information files as well as non priority resources and technology.
