Nah not really. More gore and creepiness to come. Happy Halloween! Hoping to get one of these out a week (for Lapine anyway). There should be 4 or 5 chunks.

i really, really like the layout of this. it seems very original and sophisticated.
above all, i love zombies. when i read about an infection in the first panel, my interest was instantly sparked, and i was hooked by the moment i saw the half man in the snow.
i really love the perspectives and the flow through ought the panels, the birds a great example of this. it keeps the reader from getting bored and makes them focused a lot more. also, i love your style.
i was wondering, though, wat the brown behind the panels is suppose to represent/suppose to make the readers think?
also, though im sure you know wat your doing, i was unsure about the color of the blood, it seemed orange almost. was this on purpose?
nevertheless, im looking forward to hopefully seeing more of this!

Fresh blood is pretty livid, if you've ever seen photos of fresh victims. But your screen could just have weird colors. It should be brilliant red.
The brown makes the blue stand out. It's wide because this will eventually connect up all the "pages" into one long comic.

I see that you took the blood off the sign. I really like your style of doing the comic page. I also like how 'fluid' you made CE look, if that makes any sense.

Love how the ravens move into and between the panels. Sets up a nice flow. The blue-white color scheme is scrumptious and makes me miss the winter.
What program are you using for inks/colors? I'm digging the fines lines.

Climbing a hill has never seemed so badass. Love the raven panels and the whole sequence of action as she casually chops that zombie's head off like it's a normal, everyday activity.

Simply stunning. I really enjoyed watching this being worked on, it's nice to be able to see all the details up close. Everything is so beautifully crisp too, and you already know how much I adore the compositions/colors/atmosphere of every single panel. Just.....wow.

I just love how she's adapted to it being normal to just chop off a zombie's head and get along with her day. Very neat paneling and style about the backgrounds.

For some reason I prefer sketches, they just...you know what, this is good, and about as good as everything else.

I know the feeling, and future comics of Umbagog will probably be in sketch form (so I can crank them out faster) but the initial 5 comics will be rendered tightly and with color so they introduce everything nice and colorful-like.
