Some people make languages and some even write stories in them, but it's indeed impressive for a conlanger to go all the way to making an illustrated manuscript page - and such a nice one. It gives the world of the language much more of a sense of reality.
Though what does the red lettering signify?

Names and titles were written in red for these pages. (Sorry for the delay, but thank you for your interest!)

Thanks you so much on both accounts. I don't usually get compliments on my writing, so that, in particular, means a lot to me.

Can you upload your brush set if possible?

I'm 99.98% positive that I used a default brush setting, although I may have tweaked the opacity or flow. Unfortunately, I no longer have photoshop.

How did you go about creating the glyphs? Are they one word each?

Do you mean in terms of font? Or in terms of reading the letters?
In terms of font: I wrote this entire page by hand.
If you mean reading the letters themselves, each 'glyph' is composed of 1 or 2 syllables (or pseudo syllables(in this sample; in up-to-date samples there can be as many as 3 syllables)). It is possible that an entire word is conveyed in one figure.
So the text in the top right red square reads [rehe] [fo] [nonspoken] [nibe] [l]. The middle figure just visually denotes that the next word is a name.

well, it's mostly an alphabet, so for the most part, it's finished. I do add the occassional special characters now and then, and some of the letters have gone through quite a few changes. But on the whole I'd say the script is pretty stable.
It works a bit like Hangul, so if you wanted, you could go here [link] and down in the artist's comments I've written the transliteration. You could probably work out what letter is what.

That's absolutely beautiful, and I love the story.

Hey, that is really cool!
I'd like to do something like that with my conlang sometime.

Go for it! It's really fun to do (or I think so, at least).

Ah thank you! Maybe I'll type it up someday. Really, it's better like this because it's a dull story. This way people can wonder about it and that makes faaar more interesting. xP
