Theoretically it's Les Miserables modern AU fanart, but I was experimenting to see if I could draw a story of a romance without having faces to convey the emotions and it can fit any kind of pridey rainbowy scenario you read in it

I am always fascinated how people draw their hands. I have seen family members that draw struggle with this, and I can always appreciate someone who takes time and effort to draw a good hand.
That said, it's the only good thing about this picture.
What is art? Anything made my human hands.
What is Vision, if it is clouded by dogma.
What is Originality? When you can just ride the wave.
What is Technique? Time and effort of course, spent on mastering your art, a skill you may or may not find a way with to make some money for yourself.

A critique can involve multiple things that are not necessarily direct in the way they are written, and I despair that my review is rated so poorly. Surely I must have made some people mad. I weep for them.
My pessimism stems from deviantart been what it is; a thin coating of good artists drowned by fetish porn and "inclusiveness". All can do as they will, but if a rough sketch of two (well done) hands comes to the front page as "featured", I raise questions.

The banana sticker part, specifically, comes off the most as if you were mocking the artist and calling the artwork "good enough" in a sarcastic way. Just saying. this is a piece thats super important to lgbt community, especially someone

His feedback may often be negative (not always), that may be true, but is there a rule against negative criticism? Not everybody is gonna like every piece of art. This is all subjective.

This is an open forum, they have the right to comment their dislike just as we have the right to express our disagreement. Demanding they educate themselves, that they don't judge others, that they don't express their feelings...Talking down to someone isn't going to help the situation, instead it only justifies their negative feelings towards a group.
