Baker : Bronze Level
After being adopted into the Furfrou family that ran his hometown's bakery, North was exposed to all kinds of baking tips and tricks. He quickly developed a love for the craft, feeling thrilled that he could use fresh foods and pastries to make Pokemon around him happy. He grew up surrounded by warm ovens and delicious smells, and aspires to someday re-create his family's bakery here in Solstead alongside his brother. However, they've moved to the small town without a mixing bowl to show for it, so they've got a long way to go before having the tools and space to start making their treats again.

The first thing that most Pokemon notice when meeting North is that this pup's energy seems to know no bounds. He's lively and loud and has a hard time sitting still, always wanting to be doing something active or meeting somebody new. He often gets too fired up for his own good, openly hooting and hollering when he's excited and resulting in the annoyed shushes of anybody in proximity to him. This Poochyena needs to be reminded regularly to use his "inside voice", and even when he's not shouting he's usually not being quiet. He loves to sing and hum while he works, his carefree smile never leaving his face. He's at his most subdued when he's baking beside his brother, but even then he's far from peaceful to be around.
North likes to keep a cheery outlook on life, feeling thankful for everything he's got now despite his rocky start. His lows never last long, and are usually only seen by his sibling. He's the sort of guy who will get up quickly after being knocked down, and he doesn't let a lot of things get in his way... even though sometimes maybe he should. He can be incredibly impulsive, and will do and say whatever he wants to without giving any thought to the consequences. This has landed him in hot water plenty of times, but if he's your friend, it's part of what makes him so reliable. North is a doggedly loyal companion - so whatever he's blurting out is likely positive, and whatever he's rushing into will likely be in your best interest. He's very open with his affection, and he'd run to the edge of the world and back for his friends or his brother. However, the pup can quickly become overly-protective and clingy; isolation is one of his greatest fears. He'll always be there for his friends, but sometimes he goes a little too out of his way to be helpful and ends up blindly crossing his companion's boundaries. He wants to do good by the Pokemon around him and make them happy, but North still needs to work on being a little more observant when it comes to the different things that makes others feel at ease.
History
It was a chilly autumn afternoon when a nomadic Mightyena left her infant son behind, swaddled in a soft blanket and placed on the doorstep of Berwick's small, dusty orphanage. The building wasn't a popular stopping point by any means, tucked away at the edge of the northern village and often doubling as a community center when there weren't any young Pokemon or eggs in need of care. But the pup was brought in and given a name, and this is where North's story started. The place was run by a gentle and level-headed Flareon, but even her patience was tested by the newest addition. As he grew, the Poochyena's energy became hard to keep up with, and when he was faced with boredom... well... none of the furniture was safe. There would be poorly-drawn Pokemon scribbled onto the walls and doors, and if she dared to hang anything from the ceilings you could bet that North would be swinging on them the next day. Other children came and went, but the Poochyena seemed to evade adoption again and again. It didn't really upset him; he's couldn't remember his mum, so he couldn't miss what he's never had, right? But being stuck at the orphanage all the time was a drag, so thus began the ritual of being let out to explore the town every day. The Flareon's only rules were to be back before dark and to use his manners around others, and even though letting him out to wander alone had originally gone against her better judgement, the Poochyena actually started making new friends.
North's favourite place to linger quickly became Berwick's bakery - a quaint shop owned by a family of Furfrous known as the Pupwins. They didn't seem to mind him regularly peeking in through the open windows and doors, and on some occasions they even offered the boy some of their extra pastries and bread. The Poochyena loved the sweet smells and warm air that was emitted by the ovens in the bakery, but even better than that was the kind way the Furfrous would give him a little wave when they recognized him. They even had a son close to his own age, and though he didn't seem very talkative, he had dark fur that North thought it was super cool. He started talking with them more when their waves turned into 'hello's, and upon discovering his current living situation, the Pupwins actually offered to adopt North. They reasoned that he seemed to be around all the time anyway, and with only one kid, their home had room for another.
After almost nine years of living at the orphanage, suddenly North had a family, with a mum and a dad and best of all a brother. He was uncharacteristically nervous at first; he wanted to be a good son, but wasn't entirely sure how to do that. He started spending a lot of time watching Marley, openly admiring the youngest Furfrou's meticulous creations and complimenting him whenever the Poochyena got the chance. They grew very close, working together to do the chores their parents gave them at the bakery. It was simple stuff mostly, like mixing ingredients or icing pastries or making deliveries to customers around town. North grew addicted to baking, humming cheerfully while he worked and making an effort to get to know all of the regular customers by name. Life as a Pupwin was something he felt blessed to have, and he didn't mind having to do things like clean the dishes or regularly think of new jokes to have ready for when Marley started crying again. North never became any less rambunctious, but by the time he had hit his late teens, the two siblings were starting to consider moving out. The final straw ended up being a delivery gone wrong... while carrying some expensive ingredients home from a neighboring farming town, they were jumped by a bandit. When the attacker knocked Marley back roughly, North had been so struck by protectiveness that he rushed in carelessly, earning himself a deep slash across his right flank. The bandit made away with the goods and the siblings had limped home, but as they rested and healed they decided it was time they learned to stand on their own two feet and got out to see more of the world. As soon as they were well enough to travel, they hugged their parents goodbye and headed south, having heard rumors of some new towns being formed that were in need of extra hands to tend the lands. North now lives in Solstead, working as a farmer alongside his brother with the hopes of someday starting up their own bakery and being able to call Solstead "home".
