Adventurous is almost too tame a word for the formerly Captian Darin Vaughn. He's a soul who is practically pained by boredom and changeless routine. He lives on figuring things out for himself, finding new places, and discovering the hidden secrets of old places. The settled life is not easy on him, but he has the dedicated and dogged personality needed to stick to what he needs to do in order to achieve his dreams.

Darin is also a very sociable sort of person. He is kind-hearted and enjoys helping others, giving what he can to help a community, and almost always up for good company and good beer. He enjoys getting to know others and has a hearty laugh that can be heard often interspersed into his conversations with others or when he tells a tale of one of his adventures, which he likes to do a lot as he is very proud of his accomplishments. Even to the point of taking offense when someone doubts what he says, especially after a few drinks.

While Darin is usually laid-back and friendly, he has a nasty sense of justice. On the very rare occassion that he feels he's been seriously wronged, he will seek revenge for it. Though he isn't quite a tooth for a tooth kind of guy. Rather, he tends to be a light for a slight sort of fellow. That is, slight him in some way- physical or not- and he'll try to put out your lights. While he never means to do permanent harm to anyone, he usually can't be brought to feel sorry for someone who gets one of his treatments, either. It takes someone proving to him beyond a shadow of a doubt that they didn't deserve it for him to even consider feeling remorse and, given his stubborn nature, convincing him of anything he doubts is quite difficult.Despite his vengeful nature, he would never knowingly harm a kid; either directly or through harming one of their parents or gaurdians.

HistoryBorn a trapinch and raised in Aramore, Darin knew almost from the moment he could walk that he wished to explore beyond what his small home land could offer. In childhood he contented his adventurous spirit by investigating every dangerous nook and crany on the island. There were many close calls that often caused his parents great distress when they heard of it or found him in the thick of it. Despite their simple desires for even simpler lives, they had a son who could not accept not knowing what lay beyond their shores, remaining withing the lower class in which he was born, or never evolving. He was only 7 years old when he evolved for the first time. It was then that his parents really understood that their little boy would never be contented with the kind of life they lived. In fact, as soon as Darin mastered his wings and grew strong in flying when he was ten, he set out from his home to lead a life of adventure.

In the early years, he explored the various cities of Miros and its uncultivated landscapes. He wandered from place to place on his own, not bothering to stick around anywhere longer than to do a few odd jobs in order to buy or earn a meal. It was on a bright day while he was in Abysuss that he was offered a job on an old airship. He spent his next few years learning the trade of sailing aboard that simple merchant ship. However, while the job involved travel, it was all along the same routes every time. By the time he was 16, he had mastered his trade and saved up enough to buy a small ship of his own. He used his personal airship to explore regions outside of Miros and brought back things he found to trade for supplies and repairs when he needed it. What he brought back attracted attention and he unwittingly began a unique trade business in foreign goods. The business was never big, but he did get a larger ship and a dedicated crew of fellow adventures out of it.

In recent years, while his spirit of adventure has never died, Darin has found himself longing to start a family. While the idea of having a family that ventured all over the world was delightful, he realized after a while that it was not reasonable. An airship was no place to raise an infant or toddler and even if it were, there was little privacy for romantic dalliances with his crew constantly about. So Darin resigned from his own business, leaving it in the hands of his second in command and returned to the main cities to try and settle down. He managed to spend a full year in Abysuss, as the large city was almost an adventure unto itself, but it couldn't hold him. He spent various months trying his hand at settling into the different cities of Miros only to find that the settled life was too boring for him. When he heard of the twin towns starting up in Soul Dew Valley though, he realized where it was he could have an adventure while still settling down.

While he is an only child, the other children in Aramore looked up to him like a brother
    for his adventurous and friendly spirit before he left the small town, so he loves kids.
He did much travel outside of the region, but would always come back yearly to visit his
   parents and his homeland that he's always loved. He still visits them yearly in winter.
His favorite colors are red, brown, and pink.
While he is not very active in the church, he is a devout follower of Ho-oh,
     the legendary beasts he rules over, and the eon duo.
His goals include:
  -Helping Solstead grow
-Making a home and local name for himself
-Setting up an establishment
-Starting a family
    -Learn the Mason trade
