Description It was a cloudy evening with very interesting formations and shapes up there, but it looked even unreal when the Sun appeared out of nowhere, casting the light on the distant coast.

Yeah, the weather prognosis promised a storm that evening, so I considered those clouds related to it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Fishermang In reply to alfakroell [2005-09-07 14:33:24 +0000 UTC]

Nah, the yellow is a result of low evening sunlight. Everything is still pretty green here, even though I notice a yellow leaf here and there. Probably a few weeks left till it seriously shows, what will in turn be awesome! Long live autumn

Excellent capture of natural lighting with a dark cloud bg. Did you have to wait long to get it, or did you stumble upon it by chance?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Fishermang In reply to badman22 [2005-09-07 14:31:47 +0000 UTC]

I noticed the cloud at home, so I ran as fast as I could to the scene and started composing and took a few shots. Then totally unexpected, the sun started to shine. So it was more of a chance considering the latter

Thanks!

A chance happening during a seized opportunity. Those are my favorite shots. Something that can't be done in a studio.

You're welcome.

Love all the reflections and stuff. The green's a little on the phunky side, but what the heck, it's a nifty shot.

You will have to blame the green on the sun that came out of nowhere haha Thanks!

great shot yo, and the ENTIRE things looks to be in focus
what kind f-stop you use? wouldnt happen to happen to have used hyperfocusing now wouldjya?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Fishermang In reply to gokuyert [2005-09-07 14:28:40 +0000 UTC]

Hyperfocusing. Now mang, is that what you talked aboot last time? This was shot the same evening, so I didn't use it in such case Aperture was 18, if I am not mistaken, so it pretty much captured enough of the distant coast to be in focus

gokuyert In reply to Fishermang [2005-09-07 19:55:34 +0000 UTC]

if you wanna learn about hyperfocusing then just go here, [link]

That's gorgeous! I am thrilled to see your photography is still amazing as it was 2 months ago. How is the kitty kat doing my friend?

Great capture here though, seriously - the clouds have amazing pull on this photograph with their dark colour and still blue sky. The water casts nearly perfect reflections and the sunlight is still full on. I love it!
