Well, me makin' stamps had to happen eventually
The GIMP is a freaking awesome little program which all you people who are pirating Photoshop should give it up for! There's nothing virtually nothing you can do in an expensive program that you can't do in this one, and it's legally free. Go try it out (and don't bitch about the learning curve, it's sure as hell no harder than Photoshop!) XP

GIMP works for most of what I have to do, which is not much. Mostly just adjusting colors, cropping images, and occasionally adding or removing something from an image. The only thing I really miss from Photoshop is the chrome filter, which I often used to make some neat effects. Most of my work nowadays is done in Inkscape, however, which is way more powerful than Photoshop for vector graphics (I don't know why people are using Photoshop for vector graphics--it's not a vector graphics editor!) and even beats Illustrator in some areas.

I'll try to help is you can explain your problem ^^ But please, describe what's happening as a process rather than an end result; usually I get "X isn't working" or "Y deleted my picture", and I really can't do anything with that ^_^;

oh no i found out how to do it what i needed was the hole plugin folder for gimp i googled it and everything and all that showed up was its a "hidden" folder lol and when they say hidden they really mean hidden took me three days to find it lol!

Heh well I have to say I used GIMP before my dad got PS and I have to say that even thought I prefer PS over gimp I have no problems with GIMP. xP
In my opinion Photoshop is more for pros that are serious about drawing and graphic design. GIMP is more for the casual artist. Photoshop CAN be overrated but I couldn't do without it.
Overall GIMP isn't all bad. I just prefer Photoshop~

There are some things photoshop, sorry make that lots of things photoshop can do that gimp can't.... buuuuut.... Photoshop can't animate

well, so far I havent found anything for it to animate (I work with photoshop CS 5... I'm the top of my IT class with it too... and I stil cant find anything to animate with on it) So, I'm sticking to Gimp with animations

FUCK YES GIMP. I use it all the time in lieu of Photoshop, and I think it gets the job done just as well, save for any ~*~*super spechul*~*~ effects.
Next time I gain premium membership status, I am totally using this stamp.

Depends on the template... if it's PSD format, GIMP should be able to load it normally.
