Swiss clouds! Amazing! Riding to Sturgis in 2011 we encountered similar formation north of Casper Wyo. Fortunately it was about five miles east of us, moving parrellel with us for about thirty miles. Stressful and intriguing , beautiful to watch but not a pleasant thing to encounter on a motorcycle. Regardless it adds to the fun of the adventure.

Awesome! You'll be a short distance from the Black Hills, I look forward to some shots from that area. We've encountered some pretty crazy weather in that area in the few brief times we were there.Good luck!

I saw something like this one year; but it was swirling, and a funnel cloud came out from beneath it; but it lasted only a few seconds and then it roped out. It left behind heavy winds though.
