House Vex has been mentioned in relation to the Brigade on numerous occasions. This slightly unusual, reclusive elven noble house has been long estranged from the politics of Silvermoon City and the rest of the Sin’dorei society. The remote location of the lands owned by the Vex and their mansion sitting high up in the southern Tirisfal mountains brought the Vex much closer to the Gilneans and their plight, and one could say that it has also shifted their mentality to be more pragmatic and down to earth.

Always ruled by a Countess, the house's present leader is Countess Birgitte Vex. You would be hard pressed to make anyone utter her given name though, as over the past few decades, Brigitte has earned quite a fearsome and dark reputation among both the house's allies and enemies. Her stern, unforgiving and sometimes cruel nature has earned her the nicname 'Lash'. Birgitte has welcomed the 'new' name and begun to use the nickname herself, both as a signature and call sign during her frequent missions.

Cold, calculating and a brilliant strategist, Lash has lead the house through the tumultuous events of the recent history. Her keen vision and careful planning has seen the house avoid damage caused by the tragedies and catastrophes that have befallen Azeroth. Building ties and seeking allies without discrimination and prejudice, pragmatically avoiding the conflicts between the Horde and the Alliance wherever possible and constantly reinforcing the formidable and well trained House guard has solidified her position and the position of house Vex as a whole.

Her skill set is not limited to her leadership abilities, as her long standing passion has been obtaining information - in the darkest way possible. Lash is not a noble who would dress in fancy clothes and attend balls and parades. She spends most of her time 'on duty', always vigilantly - some would say ruthlessly seeking out the enemies of the house and The Brigade alike. Her specialty is not the acquisition of prisoners, but the retrieval of information and secrets itself. A skilled interrogator, her level of anatomical knowledge and decades of experience with poisons and toxins strikes fear in many who would cross her path. The darker side of her already pitch black personality surfaces whenever she is allowed to perform her 'arts'. She is cruel, by all measures almost sadistic and fiercely vengeful. She has been known to harbor grudges for decades, carefully planning payback for slights others would let pass. Her dark demeanor would most likely cost the house some valuable allies, but she has long since realized this and most of the Vex diplomatic and public affairs are being handled by her two younger sisters, leaving Lash to steer things from the shadows.

Phew, I'm glad Lash has finally made it to the scene. I have finished her in the fall of 2018 and never got around to post her, so I had to do a bit of polishing when her time finally arrived. The reason for this was several other characters that have been/are studying under Lash and act as her apprentices - we have seen a couple of them surface in December and January. I have played with the light here and tried to keep the color palette fairly limited. There are no joyful colors in her life, just crimson red, or so many think and she would happily let you believe. I hope you like the final version, despite the character not being the friendliest of sorts!

The Countess is busy investigating the cause of the elemental incursions, but has donated a large pouch of gold coins towards the prizes, 300 Gold Coins (DA Points) which has been CLAIMED, this prize requires a Golden Key to unlock. She definitely has plenty of Keys, among them Golden Key, Silver Key, Truesilver Key but is unwilling to part with them right now. Maybe later?
