She is beautiful. Who did you use for reference?
(Just one remark: her hand, it looks strange.)
An awesome piece of art.

I absolutely love this. I can't describe a favorite part because I would feel bad for favoring any part of this piece.
I'm kind of a negative person naturally so my interpretation is abortion in a way. Idk if anyone's thought the same way but I noticed how the baby's upside down and I remembered that when a baby is born they are supposed to come out head first. So I'm thinking the woman is either a surgeon or the mother taking away the baby from the womb. And everything else is like Mother nature, amniotic fluid, birds and the bees etc. This is simply they way I saw it

This is delicately beautiful. The hues and values used created an extremely moving and maternal piece. The viewer is truly able to feel the illusion of visual reality with this piece while reaching out to new imaginable possibilities for the future or a far off and distance place. The machine details and wires are a nice subtle background and I love the idea of the fluid window.
The eye is immediately drawn to the yellow lotus-like flowers and flows over the motherly figure down the reaching arm and rests beside the infant.
I wish the infants anatomy was more realistic, its lower body is slightly confusing, this could be due to the angle at which the infant is laying, or the lighting used for it laying in the crib-type object.
Overall this is one of my favorite pieces on DA :3

Beautiful, serene, surreal. I see the Afro-Egyptian features of the figure on the right representing Humanity's cultural heritage and learning: this is passed to future generations via the umbilical tubes, representing DNA. Without consciousness, this would be purely mechanical. However, the moths are discarnate souls, awaiting the 49th day after birth to inhabit the new-formed body.

When I saw it, I imagined a sort of symbiotic relationship with the people and the plants. In a futuristic way, of course. It seems as if the mother is tending the child, like tending the plants. She shares her lifeblood with it : ) Some of it is a tad horrifying though, that she looks above the infant instead of at it, like she is greedy on what she can do with it, or what it may be. She seems kind of like a cold being who would just as much pluck the baby like a fruit. (hehe.) The strange bugs give it even more of that 'tainted eden' look, as if it's a future eden. The baby really creeped me out at first, I'm not gonna lie, but overall it's kind of entertaining to look at : ) The detail rocks. It's so surreal!

My first thought is Borg meets nature....which is sort of an oxymoron. The texture and colors are very exciting. At first I was critical of that sharp highlight on her arm and face, but after looking at it some more, I think it's a nice dividing line of dark and light. The story I get from this composition is.... the light of nature is kept at bay, yet threatening to burst forth, while her dark side (perhaps from modernization/mechanization) is an essence which she cannot ignore. The unborn is her tie to natural life (a contradiction since the child is in a machine and not a womb). Perhaps she is intrigued by the process. I see the look on her face and her gesture with claws to also be contradictory.
I agree with SmoteyMote, though....I thought her gaze would be more focused on the baby...but maybe there is something or someone outside the composition which she is looking at.
