oh man i had no clue how much i missed this comic... i feel bad for totally abandoning it when i left my old(old old x2) account. eeeeek. loving the new style, btw. and i actually like it a lot more in pencil, rather than inked. after all, inking can just become a pain in the ass if you have too much to ink; like a comic, for example.

Hey, you're probably going to hate me for this, but I'm really digging the sketchy style. And I LOVE your handwriting. Even if you go back to the inked version, you should definitely keep your handwritten words (not comic sans). Believe it or not, handwritten words look a lot more professional/indie then the computer text.

HAH NOOO I LOOVE YOU FOR THAT!!! i used to be mad into inking, but that was back when i was...like 15-16. Inking pages for this comic.. and just inking shit in general, is nothing but a pain in the ass D8 and i fricken LOVE writing.. i even enjoy taking down notes and shit from school ROFL *RETARD* but yeah, i'm really glad you like this!!! <333
One problem with writing by hand is that sometimes there isn't enough room. but w/e hahaha 8D

I have yet to get a good grasp on inking. I enjoy doing it, but it's such a time commitment! I prefer posting and reading just pencil sketches if it means updates are faster. And hooray for writing! See? This switch away from inking has done you some good!
And I know what you mean about not having enough room in the text bubbles. However! As another deviant once told me years ago, "not enough room" is no excuse! If the words aren't fitting in the word bubble, then rewrite the text on a different page (like the back, or in a scratch notebook), scan it, and then photoshop it in! Then you can move around words or shrink them down so they fit. Yeah, it's a little bit more work then just typing it, but it's worth it! I've done it a bunch of times with some of my more recent comics.

YEAH! The pencil-ness adds quite a lot to the perspective and atmosphere especially in the first panel! I hope this style evolves and becomes the ultimate manga/comic style (maybe add some toning with watercolors or this watercolor-able pencil: [link] because watercolor looks cool on pencil lines xD), yeah! So far, this and the traditionally toned pages are my favorites because of the expressions one only can achieve with doing things manually.

Compared to the previous pages it's obvious how much effort you've spared yourself here, and the effect is nowhere less impressive- it's still the same comic, with all of it's most important trademarks in place
