Description A neck torc featuring the two commissioner's pet in the eternal duality struggle; Cats vs. dogs..

Cat features malachite eyes and the dog has tigereye.. which I've really warmed to using! The shimmer in them is so deep it adds another dimesion to the heads

I would love to have one.. Isnt it amazing being able to make stuff yourself, just like you want it?

I wish I could make stuff for myself all the time; but the truth is the commissioner pays for the materials and the time involved. I could barely afford something like this for myself!

Nevertheless, it must be nice to be able to make it for someone else at least. To have made the beautiful thing and made someone happy

These are beautiful and very well made but I have to ask, how do you put them on? I mean, it is metal...how would you get it around your neck? XD

They flex a little, allowing the wearer to slip them on before the bounce back They are really comfortable actually

I just can't get over the beauty of your torcs. I've been all over the place trying to learn how to braid the body for these, but the only way that I've been able to learn is all twisted on itself, not braided like these.

Every time I get frustrated with my research I just come over to your gallery and look at your torcs until I calm down

Thank you for sharing these with us, someday I'll figure out how to braid the steel properly myself!

This is beautiful. I love your torcs. They always look so classic, but with just enough of a modern/contemporary touch.

I had sent an email through your site probably a month ago about a custom piece but never heard back, perhaps it never made it lol. I guess I'll have to note you about it. Wish I could remember everything I wrote in it >.< lol

Gorgeous work! I always wanted to work with silver and leather but have no time, I'll have to commission you one day!
Out of curiosity, is 99,9% silver softer than sterling silver? Is it more sensitive to scratches and such?

Love the malachite!

Illahie In reply to Malancaiwen [2011-05-28 10:27:36 +0000 UTC]

It is softer than sterling silver, but I find that as an item of jewellery it works perfectly well Besides, compared to the hands (rings and bracelets) the neck gets very little work

It is a wonderful piece. How much do you generally sell something like this and for what size neck is this for?

Illahie In reply to FireKat [2011-05-26 14:55:47 +0000 UTC]

I specialise in full custom; so it's for any neck size I'll send you a wee note with some details if you wish

I can not believe how awesome this is. Beautifully done, I love the duality of it. Mostly you see the same heads on the Torc... but this is better I think.

Do you sell your jewelry? I'm asking, because if the price was "for me" , I'd be interested.
However I think even if you sell them, they're quite expensive.

I love the tiger eye stones. And so sand of desert (if that's their name in English) and night of Kair. Actually these two are my favourites.
And the tiger eye looks great in dog's head indeed! Good choice.

Do you use crystals sometimes, or only non-transparent stones?

Gosh, when I look at your works, I want to go back to making jewelry myself.

Illahie In reply to Vrolok87 [2011-05-25 12:00:32 +0000 UTC]

I focus mainly on one-of-a-kind commissions, so anyone can commission me for one of these. I don't have a standard set for Imbascreations yet, but they are in the works.. truly wishing there were more hours in a day!

As for the stones, I use whatever the customer wants me to use. So far my favourites have to be sapphire and moonstone

Vrolok87 In reply to Illahie [2011-05-25 12:10:47 +0000 UTC]

Ah, yes, I forgot about the moonstone, right!

Ok, good to know. And how much - more or less - do you take for torch?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Illahie In reply to Vrolok87 [2011-05-28 10:02:21 +0000 UTC]

It all depends on the complexity and the materials used, but I'll send you a note
