Description
This actually took me ages to finish. I started it sometime in the beginning of 2016 after first played the Stonefalls quest in Elder Scrolls Online. However and like always, I did several other things in between .

Tanval and Garyn Indoril. Some of the few Elder Scrolls Online characters I really adore. Because of the large range of the game and the quick walkthrough, there are not many characters that stay in mind and with whom I sympathise.

With these two there were a few aspects that triggered my love:
-   They are Dunmer
-   They are Indorils (I was so high as I heard the name from Holgunn )
-   Tanval has so many flaws, but is still a hearty and passionate guy
-   Garyn is such a sweet and polite young man

And gosh, why do they have to die ??? You have no idea how mad I was after the Fort Virak quest! I did not expect that and was really charmed by Garyn … . In general a bunch of characters I like die in this game. Especially the Pact is quite depressing (even though I like it that way ).
Well, so much for my chances marrying into the great house of Indoril !

Some things I noticed about both while do research for the artwork (and adoring them overall ):
-   Tanval has a cheaper staff than his son, but on the other hand has upgraded clothing. Garyn is the other way around.
-   Garyn is a Templar, but he does not use a healing staff. Depending on the quest he uses either a flame or an ice staff. He also uses life-absorbing spells on foes and healing on friends.
-   Tanval is of course a Dragonknight. He has upgraded some of the typical spells with poison attacks .
-   Tanval has an A-type braid. Regular braids are mostly V-type. I know that is rather useless information, but it matters if you want to get the details right . Besides that! I wonder what Tanval would look like with his hair undone ! And I bet Garyn would look totally handsome with his old man’s hairstyle! Not that I don't find him handsome as is, but I like long hair on men .
-   Garyn has next to no features of Tanval . They look completely different (besides the forehead part kind of matches) and have completely opposite character traits. Garyn must come a lot after his mother .
-   Tanval’s wife should actually be alive and around somewhere, but we seem just not to see her. Someone in Davon’s Reach mentions to another NPC that they wonder how Tanval’s wife copes with their son’s death after the Fort Virak quest. I have found no other mention of her yet. Also if you meet Garyn in the Hlaalu house in Ebonheart he says his mother is from that town and he grew up there, spending the best years of his life. Perhaps his mother is even an Hlaalu? Vivec forbid !

And my opinion on Dunmer in ESO:
-   I hate the red colour hair options there are in game. They are all going in a pinkish direction, just like the eye colours . Pissed me off for one of my own characters, who has blood-red hair. I think that would be a better option for Tanval, too!
-   Dunmer eyes kind of look best in TES Morrowind and TES Skyrim. I prefer red scleras, because that looks more xeno/unique.
-   I think there should be more darker and blue-grey skin colours, I am not a large fan of the greenish grey
-   I am glad that they still have rougher looking faces, but think it could be more rough as it was in TES Skyrim (without the stupid "babyface-graphic-patch" of course )
-   I miss more linking to the typical Dunmer clothing and styles we see in older games
-   I want to enter Vvardenfell so badly !!! (Edit: since today it is announced, that I will be able to do so on June 8th ! I will be running through the country for days, not paying attention to the quests, just because I want to see what they made out of Vvardenfell )
