Description
Commission for of Thunderstick from the Bravestarr cartoon, approaching threateningly towards the viewer.
He was waiting behind that rock in the Badlands, waiting for unsuspecting newcomers of New Texas to pass by who didn't know that the outlaws rule the Badlands territory.
Thunderstick is about as much of an outlaw as it gets. He likes to rob people at point blank range with his gun arm. (Best kids cartoon ever!) Even his clothes were stolen off his victims.
And yet he's such an awesome robot. Love this guy.

Dang, your Thunderstick art certainly has improved since when we started watching the show, as did your shading and your sense of space. This really looks like concept art for the show.
I really makes me nostalgic for the days I would draw Thunderstick messing around with Scuzz (never drew Thunderstick solo; he was always with his best buddy) and I really need to draw him again.

What is it about Bravestarr that inspires better art... I remember our art improving greatly when we went thru that phase before.
Thunderstick must be getting lonely without his little smoking buddy. Who else is he gunna tease people with.

I really want to draw Scuzz, but at the same time, I realize that I still haven't gotten around to drawing Barney Stockman with his mutated fly brother.
So many things and only a finite amount of time to draw them in...

I like how you really like to put a lot of detail into drawing this bad bot, and the background looks really good as well. I also enjoy seeing the shading on the rocks and that crack in the ground also makes me happy.
Furthermore, it's really great to see a neat image done from using a color palette of white, black, and gray colors, and that you execute this technique so well in this picture and in your previous pictures.

I wonder if Thunderstick has ever tried picking up chicks. I doubt it goes well for him with that stutter, and the fact he's a robot. XD

I suspect at some point he was a marshal since early artwork of him depicted him in a marshal's uniform. Perhaps he was damaged and turned evil, or perhaps he didn't like how robots are treated in society and turned to crime.
