Just saw this one and I've got to ask ..How do you do your weathering cause it's amazing how you get the finish to look so beat to hell but it's all so smooth..damn, man..beautiful work!

... WOW. That is some impressive work.
How did you do the texture of the wood? Did you carve it into the plastic and repaint it?

Wow, that's one amazing blaster. When you removed the front support, how stable is the turret on a rating of 1-10?

Thank you! Β I'd give it a solid 8. Β There's really not much play with the lower support removed. Β

WOW!
It reminds me of Fallout, which I love, and theres a 5.56 revolver exactly similar to this gun!
Watching you in T Minus...3..2..1....Zero
Also, Im making a FAL from toy gun, and some aluminium and wooden parts for a Fallout NV NCR Veteran Ranger Cosplay.
My uncle has a Colt S.A.A.in a pop cap replica, but I havent seen him in a while, and he trains the military and air force of my country, sometimes when I see him he tells me "Hey, just fired a Barret M82, Bren, BAR, Benelli M3, and M4s!"I think, with the F N High Power he owns, he wont really care about it.

does the hammershot still fire w/ the lower guard rail removed?

SEE?! I told the people I've been working with that the under rail can be ditched!
Well Β one! And what do you think is losing the range? Not a tight enough seal in back of the chamber without the underrail holding the cylinder in place? That seems like an easy enough fix, honestly. Or is the cylinder rod not strong enough to support the cylinder weight, creating a gap?

Does it still work? Can the cylinder still turn without the front attachment point?

Yeah I was working on finishing up my first Hammershot paint job tonight , and I looked at the rear axle point on the cylinder and saw how it could hold on without the front piece, though I fear the strength and smoothness of it wouldn't last without the structural integrity added by the front piece, at least if the gun is used regularly. If it's not going to be used much, then I suppose it would be ok.

This turned out great, love the dark wash for the wood grain and the blue wrap was a nice touch.

This I was aware of, but even though I'll just repaint it when I get it, I want the Hammershot for the shell's design as well V:Β The Rebelle equivalent is too sleek and curvy for my tastes X:
