Entitled: "Super Corkscrewed Robot."After a small art hiatus on November (Hope everyone had a happy turkey!), I return with the new installment of the gaming madness with the help of !
For those of you who know me for a while now, you know how big of a Mega Man/Rockman fan I am!Now if there's one thing that most people get steamed about when it comes to Mega Man, it's the different art styles/adaptation's he's had back in the early days. I've personally haven't watched the Captain N cartoon back when I was a kid (...but I've watched all three Mario cartoons and the Ruby Spears Mega Man show.), and I wasn't introduced to the Mega Man I box art until much later.
Needless to say, they didn't appeal to me to the least, but they didn't ruin my love for Mega Man!
Truthfully, the best art styles were either the ones from Mega Man 4-6, 9 and 10 and the Ariga Megamix manga. Gemma and I hope you enjoy this one! We had a blast with this Mega crazy gag!

Well regardless, I prefer anyone over the Captain-N Mega Man. Bad-boxart Mega Man has a small place in my heart for being so ridiculous. (And honestly I like that design better than the Mega Man 2 boxart Mega Man.)
OVER-1 is interesting in design, but the game he comes from is a bit odd for my liking. Ah well, those are my thoughts.

all mega mans are better than the captain n one, bad box art isn't too bad I guess, I mean at least he's better than some of the other box art that know mega's general design and colors but made him look weird and creepy, can Capcom ever hire proper artists that know what he's suppose to look like?

Indeed. Although I'm not gonna lie, some of my favourite boxart of Mega Man was Mega Man IV for Gameboy and the NES Mega Man 5 art. It's one of the reasons why I LOVE the Smash Bros design: he looks more like a robot kid rather than a superhero kid in blue. (No offence to the classic design, it's always close to my heart.

I completely agree! That design was so amazing, I was inspired to draw a majority of the Robot Masters in that kind of design!

well details are important! at least you have pictures to go by, I made a megaman OC named zapman and decided to make him with that style design and im still not quite satisfied.

The Bad Boxart version had a corny charm of its own, but the Captain N version...

As much flack as the Ruby-Spears cartoon gets, I much prefer that Mega Man over the Captain N one.

Pssssh. Loving this. Only thing that could have made it better would be Ruby Spears Megaman, but unlike the other two, he actually bares a resemblance to the real Megaman.

Hehehe, yeah, that's one of the reasons why I didn't add the Ruby Spears Mega Man. That, and I kinda like that incarnation, it was just the ridiculous episodes like Robosaur Park and Curse of the Lionmen that I found incredibly stupid.

Shadow Man lucked out with "The Day the Moon Fell," but still! Star Man should've been given a better episode. (Personal favourite Robot Master from Mega Man 5.)

My favorite MM5 RM, (Chargeman) got nothing at all. At least the iteration of Darkman they replaced him with was done well. Cool voice and powers. Though I think we can agree Pharaohman got the best appearance...All 45 seconds of it.

He, along with Crystal Man were the only ones who actually TRIED to attack Mega Man even after they were copied. Crystal Man tried, but Pharoah Man delivered!

One thing that's kinda interesting is Gravityman. While all the robot masters got design changes that fit the style of the show more, Gravityman looked almost exactly like his original art. As a result, he looks somewhat out of place.

Well, the first one is the anime mega man, the one most people know. The second one is the Mega Man from the Original Box Art. The Third, is from Captain N, the Game Master. I honestly wish they never happened, and Nintendo of America would have left it the way it was.
