"Your highness, Princess Nina is home." A guard calls into the room where Lumin and Sombra talked to other officals.
"Oh? You may leave then." Sombra dismissed the officials and Nina came walking in. "You're home early."
Nina bowed her head, respectfully. "I know. There was an incident and I was forced out, sorry father."
"Well what can you report about the other royals?" Sombra questioned, dismissing the excuse.
"Empress Gardenia Passion is passive, no control over her unruly sister, overall definitely not ready for the responsibility. An easy one to take over in the future."
"Good, as I expected from the first meeting. What about this sister of hers?"
"Princess Flurry Heart, unruly, arrogant, hostile, childish. Most likely will never have power in the future and she seems to be always on edge with her siblings and other royals."
"Fantastic, another one easy to push over... Isn't there a 3rd one?"
"A prince, he's the eldest, Father." Lumin chimed in.
Nina looked down and nodded, she purposely wanted to avoid talking about Jem.
"The eldest? And yet he was not crowned Emperor?" Sombra laughed, "Ah maybe I don't need a report if he was so incompetent for his spot as heir being revoked and given to his little sister. Oh how hopeless their children are."
"He's kind though.." Lumin whispered, Sombra glaring down at him.
"And how would you know, damn child. You've never met this prince, considering you begged me to stay home instead. How could you have an opinion of him?"
"Sorry father..." Lumin lowered his head.
"Anyways, what do you think of him Nina?" Sombra looked back at her.
"I.. didn't see much of him, i'm not sure what he's like. Sorry father.."
"No need my dear, you did rather well." Sombra thought for a moment. "You should get close to the prince, perhaps we can use him for some future arrangements." He grinned to himself.
"What do you have in mind father?" Nina looked up at him, glancing at Lumin who looked a little concerned.
"Patience my dear, before all of that, let us plant a few seeds, shall we?"
