This is a picture I did a couple of nights ago. It's inspired by the only person who will ever truly be Elphaba in my eyes, Kristy Cates.This is from Wicked, of course-done in a couple of different types of pen and it took about 2 hours to finish off and on. It's sortof related to this one.
Oh yeah, I am aware she has on a ten gallon hat...but the hat is sooo cool, I kinda just kept coloring and coloring until it was almost as big as the broom!

Between this and the baby Elphaba sculpture, it was a coin toss of which one I'd comment on.
Good work! (and I've done the ten-gallon version of her hat a lot, too. In both Maguire's novel and the musical, she just seemed like too determined and strong of a character to have a puny-looking hat.)

I like the gear thingies and the fading scribbles you did all around her. This is really good! The shading gives it a lot of dimension.
