Description "The Eye of Spring chooses it's Keeper, channeling their life force into the turning of seasons. They are blinded, for only the Eye may see what is to come. At the end of the Keeper's life, the Eye chooses another being through which to channel the coming of spring."

I christined my new sketchbook with this drawing, and ended up going pretty far with it. Done with the whole shebang of mediums! 90% Prismacolor marker, 10% graphite, colored pencil and acrylic, on 9" X 12" smooth bristol.

Original is for sale, please email me at wolfnymph at gmail dot com!

And high quality fine art prints are available on my Artspots account: [link]

I really like the androgynous/genderless look here!
I have a think for androgynous critters for some reason. xD

I think you should do one for each season, that would be really neat to see. And that way you could make a print set if you wanted!

I love the smooth detail in the fur! Those eyes are so beautiful too! The torso looks so cool too! The way you drew the tummy and those fur tufts on the chest area

Gorgeous!!! <333

You marker skills still astound me. I can't get over your fur textures! I've had prisma's for a couple years now and have been too afraid to use them (how sad it that?). I wouldn't be surprised if they were dried out by now XP

Outta curiosity, what type of sketch books do you use? I have many, but have never been satisfied with the kinds of paper.. most too smudgy or the pencil crayons look just awful.
The only one i ever was satisfied with was this Hilroy exercise book, lol. Though I'd rather something slightly more professional looking..

Your art is so gorgeous. I want to save up enough money to buy a commison from you because out of all of the artist's I've seen out there that draw wolves, your wolves have such a personality and beautiful artistic quality. I love the colors of your fursona and her style- makes me jealous! XD How wonderful. I'm sorry I don't comment on your art more often, forgive me on that, but this comment pretty much sums up how I feel about all of your work.
I'll make sure to comment more in the future though, promise! ^^ Keep it up!

KatieHofgard In reply to FoxMaxwell [2008-07-31 11:07:33 +0000 UTC]

Wow, thank you! Wolves are totally the best, I should draw more naturally colored ones, don't you think? Anyway, I really appreciate your comment, thank you!

Hey no problem! I know you're quite busy so getting this reply back makes me feel quite honored. And yes, I agree, wolves are the best :3 And I like your colors! Makes things a little more different in the sometimes monotonus wolf world. Thanks!

As always your art is beautiful. I love the way that you draw the fir. It's so realistic looking. And the vine curving around the staff is eye catching
