yes! we do that with fair regularity these little pretties, gopher snakes, and king snakes...but we leave the rattlers alone!

LOL, yea! A convert I'm ok with all of our visitors except the big diamondback rattlesnakes....them, I wish would NOT come by!!

Thanks, Duncan! I had help from my husband with him holding the stick...the snake wasn't too cooperative at first; then I think it saw its reflection in the lens because it was mesmerized
