Description Is it perfect? NO!
Is it better then the Divine Dragon I did? YES!
Is it made of pure awesome? OH HELL YA!

I suppose I could have done a better job on the head, but by the time I got to that step I was pretty fed up with it all and just wanted to finish this model. Having to redo about a hundred steps didn't help any. Little tip out there: don't skip step 46. It's easy to miss, but it makes step 83 impossible. Also, I ended up losing my place at one point and had to backtrack I dunno how many. In total, I redid about a hundred. And when like half of them are "repeat steps X through Y on the other side"...well, I'm sure you can understand my frustration. It also took like 15 minutes to get a picture of this. All the angles I tried made the paper literally glow on camera, getting glares and looking fuzzy and bad. Therefore, you all get a glimpse at the blue paper I will be using for trial number two of Bahamut. I am probably not going to redo this ancient dragon anytime soon, so just be happy with this. I know I am.

If I manage to take a better picture later tonight, I'll change ti up. but for now...well, try to ignore the nerf gun to one side. I tried to get rid of it in paint, but there;s some left.

Model designed by Satoshi Kamiya.

To be fair, I didn't so much learn how to do it as I did follow the instructions. When there's 200-someodd steps, I don't even try to learn them. A couple dozen at the most is my limit.

XD Yay, you completed it! I think I have to make double tissue for this since none of the paper I have is anywhere near 50cm (the largest I have is 30cm). Looks great~

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I mean, I can see where it's not really all that well done at points, but the fact that I managed to get through it alone is pretty sweet I think. At any rate, I'm taking a break from Kamiya for a little while and moving into Box Pleating. Particularly, Neil Elias' Last Waltz and the swordsman from Liscence to Fold (forgot the designer's name). Maybe I'll even do the eagle before I come back and do Bahamut again.

In terms of making doubletissue, I would heartly reccomend it. The advantages make themselves very well known in a project like this though to be honest, if I were to do it again I would shrink the paper slightly. Maybe drop to 45 or 40cm. It was great to get my fingers into all the nooks and crannies, but I just think maybe a slightly smaller size would leave less room for error. Just my thoguhts. He reccomends 50, so it might be best to stick with that.

I know! I can't wait to get to them. I just cut all the paper tonight for the models I want ot do in the near future, and I think I have enough paper to last a month. I...i think I may have too much paper. I know that doesn't seem possible, but where do I store it? the bigger pieces are getting unruly. Oh well. I'll figure something out.

You can never have too much paper! Though space can be an issue. My dad made a drawer in my closet that was supposed to be for belts and scarves, except I only put origami paper in there. XD' I think using a scrapbook holder case thing would work for medium large paper. Some of the larger pieces I wrapped along in some wrapping paper.

Ya, I'm thinking of getting one of those large art portfolio cases or something. I was thinking of wrapping them, but I've always had a hard time getting curls out of paper. Call it a pet peeve if you will. That drawer sounds pretty nifty!

Thats way more patience than I have, good work brother. I would have quit long before it was finished....lol

At one point I actually threw it across the room, yelled "It's either you or me you cur!" and tackled it...then proceeded to the next step. To say my family was giving me strange looks would be an understatement. Also, I think I used the phrase "What the hell are you on Kamiya" a lot last night. Yup. Right up there with "sink what grey area? There's no grey area!"

heh. Patience is definately required in this art. Either that or being stubborn, but at this point I don't think there's a differance.
