Description Species: Vulpes vulpes (red fox)
Location: Tierpark Olderdissen, Bielefeld, Germany
Status: least concern
Extra: a) Silver foxes are a natural seldom morph of the red fox. b) They are also bred in fur farms to die for fashion. Here they are bigger, show less fear of humans and all cubs have the same fur colour as their parents (unlike wild ocurring silver foxes)

I also read that floppy ears are a biproduct of domestication. If this accounts for the mother I can`t say, but she def. has floppy ears. To read more about domestication in foxes see e.g. [link] and for more details [link]

The foxes or their relatives of this zoo were quite sure once from a fur farm.

They're so pretty! I hate people who kill animals for their fur. They're the reason why so many animal species are on the endangered list! Like pandas!
