Description Back in the summer of 2002 I was in a haremy mood, evidently, and this is what resulted. That summer was my lace-up-and-translucent phase, and this piece shows that very well. It was also during my caramel colored hair period I really love the motion of this piece, and I do still love caramel colored hair.

Coloring the fur and stripes through the translucent fabric was really fun, and I think the effect is really pretty. Makes the tigeryness less scary Oh, and the one-side hair wrap-up is one of my favorite hair styles. My bunny princess often has her hair that way.

I just noticed her eyes are very Sailormoon manga-style, lol. Old habits die hard.

I used Pigma Micron 005 for the inked outlines, Prismacolor colored pencils and Derwent water colored pencils for the color, white gel pen for the texture and highlights. The paper that is a beige memory book paper, doesn't it go well with her coloring? Warm and cool, yum. I scan the drawings into my computer, so that makes the colors a little smoother than they really are.

Thank you I drew this one a long time ago, but I'm fond enough of her and her design that she'll included in my playing card set.

I love the colors you used for her outfit. The top especially - it caught my attention right away and it's very pretty. Her facial fur is done beautifully, and she has a very pretty face.

Thank you! The top was so fun to design. Shiny jewel tones really make me happy, so I use them frequnetly. She is pretty, isn't she? I'm glad she turned out so sweet and cheerful.

Thank you. Tigers are delightful to draw in translucent clothing. The stripes look so nice peeking through.

I'm thinking she so brightens the master's life that he agrees to let her open an ice cream/storytelling booth in the middle of the harem and all the children and other ladies love her, because she's sweet and not vicious. *plotbunnies floating in my mind*

Lol, I think as a furry artist I should have some advantage in taming plotbunnies, but the they are wily creatures and attack me even in my sleep.

If I counted plotbunnies before I went to sleep I'd never make it ^^:

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-21 22:01:39 +0000 UTC]

Too true, too true. I've heard the screams of furry artists echoing in the night after such an attack...

lol! I'd probably be stuck trying to develop the plot from the first one all night. xD

I have a habit of trying to link the bunnies together: "You hold his hand, no, that 'him,' you go over there, you, the pink one, you're over here, you with the chainsaw... take a breather, ok?... now, does that make sense?" *bunnies shake their heads* "Darn. All right, two lines!" and so on.

The problem is that I can only do that so much in fanfiction before it goes from AU to a cracked reflection of something completely different. I should write more original fiction, it has more room for bunnies *bunnies look eager* My tag is the opening line from a random little plotbunny that pounced on me a few days ago.

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-22 02:30:15 +0000 UTC]

lol! xD I have a similar habit: I try to squash them all together and have them all fit into the One Big Story bouncing into my head. I basically have a multicoloured, dusty, fat plotbunny sitting on my head most of the time.

More often I get PoemBunnies. They're so much easier to deal with. xD

Interesting line - I love the way it starts out talking about something so everyday as a mum, and then ends with the very, very, very out of the ordinary. Now I wanna know how the rest goes. xD!

Nice to know I'm not the only one with skyscraper-scale bunny piles I have one fanfic that is the first vict... err target for new bunny spawn. It's not something I'm rushing because it will turn out horrible if I do, so I just add a few paragraphs of relevant bunniness as they pop up.

I don't think I've ever had a PoemBunnie (looks at the lagomorphs expectantly.) I tend to write fancy prose, however, so maybe they're just waiting to spring some iambic pentameter on me.

I'm working on the story. It's short and dark, but I want the contrast of the ordinary with the unexpected. I'll need to run it by my sister before I post it, though, as my numerous errors in spelling and missing words tend to ruin the impact

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-22 09:42:58 +0000 UTC]

Just you wait, they'll come bounding up, those PoemBunnies, all dressed in frilly neck things and talking about the world as a stage and other such nonsense. They will come. *sagenod*

You're actually working on a plotbunny? I'm VERY impressed. Wow. Applause from the peanunt gallery.

I fear all bunnies speaking the Queen's English. I have enough trouble withstanding the temptation to quote the Bard in fanfiction And my sister playing Harry Potter books 1-5 and Diane Wynne Jone's "A Charmed Life" on audiotape constitently has already done strange things to my grammer.

It was a particually alluring bunny, bringing promises of fancy language and blood. And teacups. I'm helpless in the face of porcelian.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-25 04:32:20 +0000 UTC]

True, but then, the Queen's English is very like her hats: big, intimidating and very much out-of-date. All very undesirable qualities in a bunny. If they come suggesting a Shakespearean Sonnet, however, I find them terminally writeable.

Oh, the powers of porcelain... We must all bow to the Percelain God several times in our lives. xD

I need a bunny that inspires my inner Richard III. I need practice writing arrogant bastards

Hehe, nice catch on the porcelian. I thinking of a teacup addiction, but you totally won on that one

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-29 01:06:16 +0000 UTC]

Everyone loves the arrogant bastards. Why do think Draco Malfoy has such a huge fanbase?

Yes, of course - it isn't the tea that does you in, oh no - the teacups are truely what control us. xD

(I'm sorry, I must be having a truely insane moment right now. It'll pass. )

kikuneko In reply to MyMorphine [2006-05-29 04:18:46 +0000 UTC]

Lol, well, if you put it that way... I have a much easier time writing Draco than Harry *cough* >.< I wonder what that says about me? I'd like to think I'm simply in tune with his sweet tooth and his spoiled bratiness, but it might be worse than that... *shudders*

I so confuse my tea with creamer, sugar, and marshmellows that it doesn't have a chance against me But sugar doesn't contol me, no! I resist its evil whimes. It is the teacup that defeats me everytime.

(No need to be sorry. My insane moment forgot to get over itself, so here I am )

0_o Let's just leave that subject for now, shall we? xD
There's too much subtext in talking about such people as Draco.

I'm rather fallen for the tea itself. I take tea ans I take coffee, and I like coffee as I like humor - black.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kikuneko In reply to MyMorphine [2006-05-30 07:29:42 +0000 UTC]

I suppose we would be entering dangerous ground with such subtext. I wouldn't want to scare my newfound fans (or myself) with my fanish interests

I prefer tea to coffee, definitely. But when the law students had finals and I was closing the law library at 2am and had class or my other job at 7:30 or 8am, the coffee smelled pretty darn good I compromised with hot chocolate with Irish Cream creamer or apple cider with red vines.

I also like my humor as I like my hot beverages: Random and eyebrow-raising

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-30 20:54:40 +0000 UTC]

Oh, subtext. My secret lover. xD

I'm a tea addict. Every night I spoil myself with this fabulous Egyptian tea. It's become my liquid god.

Ah, yes, the ultimate goal in humor is the raised eyebrow. Or cartwheels, whichever happens first.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kikuneko In reply to MyMorphine [2006-05-31 02:08:04 +0000 UTC]

But of course. Everyone needs a paramour. (Note to self: Find secret lover: 1. Draw up list of ideal qualities 2. Interview / symbol 3...)

I am a water addict, oddly enough. I take my sugar in other forms, most noticeably (and expensively) ice cream. Egyptian tea does sound highly divine, however.

Ah, what is a cartwheel but a controlled flail of undeniable mirth?

MyMorphine In reply to kikuneko [2006-05-31 05:12:40 +0000 UTC]

Ah, yes, but all water is not created equal. Dasani is made by Coke, and is therefore immediately inferior.

Cartwheels... the ultimate release of energy and general giddiness - when taken in small doses.

kikuneko In reply to MyMorphine [2006-06-02 01:31:04 +0000 UTC]

I'll a big fan of tap water, nothing fancy required for me in the cool drink realm. I also like my water room temperature, but that 's just odd *nod* I've gone for Dasani when by some horrible luck I've forgotten my water bottle.

I have never experienced the proper endorphin rush of a cartwheel, as I am far too uncoordinated to execute one with any degree of accuracy. I had a passable somersault when I took my one semester of Aikido. Unfortunately, that was definitely a case of overdose on the rolling

I'm a tap water girl myself, though having it warmish always feels slightly slimy to me... 0_o
xD

lol! Well, if there's anything I'm proud of in my life, it's my left cartwheel. It's my crowning achievement, as I've not done much else of note. xD My right cartwheel shall never be mentioned.

My crowning achievements tend to be a little more random. My favorite random claim to fame is keeping a Twinkie as a pet for 8 1/2 years. It is not moldy, but is slowly turning to dust. I hope it will survive gradaute school with me. It's just two more years. We can make it.

My lack of balance in Aikido should never be mentioned
