A small, low mass world orbiting an aging G type star called Zegina, Gadarm is home to the recently discovered sapient species called the Feud. With a period of 186 days (95 local days), Gadarm used to orbit comfortably in the middle of the habitable zone until Zegina began to expand into a red giant, heating it up and eroding away at its habitability. Its small size and mass also means its interior cooled down rapidly, but the lone moon Voseniel keeps it from cooling down completely and maintains a magnetic field, although a weak one.
Over time, much of the planet's hydrosphere has been evaporated by the increased temperature, and combined with strong solar winds hitting the planet more directly large amounts of said water vapor is blown away into space. In addition, reduced geological processes have rendered much of the two super continents (which are linked by a several narrow land bridge) flat through erosion. The remaining hydrosphere is gathered in two large oceans and a number of small, shallow seas with high salinity, while the two continents are home to enormous saltflats, the leftover of evaporated seas and lakes, in addition to endless prairies and grasslands. Due to a somewhat eccentric orbit, Gadarm experience seasonal shits despite a very low axial tilt; specifically, it has two, a long, hot summer exacerbated by large quantities of methane in the atmosphere (released from the exposed saltflats from long decayed organic matter) and a short, cold winter (when temperatures drop to dangerous levels even at the equator).
The native feud, evolved in the vast prairies of the smaller continent, have for many millennia lived in large, isolated communities called Compounds, formed from hundreds of smaller, nomadic packs. Discovered in apr 2140 by a literal accident, the Compounds have since began an arduous journey to ascend to spacefaring status. Though few visit the world besides some garian explorers, the League has marked the world as a potential ally as it is located fairy close to the Esseles Hierarchy.
